[Complete n00b to web development] Need suggestions on how to code this mockup ..

HOWDY guys… Well We have a little part-time selling thing happening as a pastime, and I’m wanting to make a really basic web page through which customers can indicate which items they need to buy, and what custom options they demand for organizations options.. As they are making selections, an overall displayed on the best side keeps changing of showing the update total cost depending on the options selected with the user.. So its kind of like what you view on custom computer building sites where users select selections to customize its machines.. In the completed the user gets into their email address inside a box and clicks on a button, which sends me an email with the complete configuration chosen because of the user so i always can examine the idea.. Backgrounds not working?

MY SPOUSE AND I can’t ever learn how to make a qualifications in CSS it doesn’t matter what it never functions (even when pasted originating from a tutorial and stuff)… Exactly how! Err… planning to need more info, because if you’re just talking about using an picture or solid color for any background, it’s pretty hard to ruin. In Urgent need of help

Hey everybody. I’ve got your background image using a website. However I would like the body content being in a almost white semi-transparent layer. So the image can certainly seen through it though the text is understandable! IT WORKS!….but is there a more secure way to do it? (PHP: Include question)

I’m doing a tech site for my education, and I have decided to use the PHP: include function and so the website will be easier to keep. I have not one but two include files: head. php (which holds the internet in the < head> tages, the actual header, and the particular horizontal navigation) footer. php (which holds the internet in the footer) My problem is when using the files in sub-folders. Next time i include " scalp. php", the links for the css files, photographs, and other pages are incorrect in addition to won’t work. I tried when using the direct url to the files. It does work, but I don’t like the thought of having the file urls out for everyone to see inside source code. Is there a more secure way to achieve this You requires the full report url’s really, having them comparable won’t reap any benefits for that public. Fact is I can save as on your own page and it will eventually change every url to include the complete URL. You have to to remember your images will be relative in your file containing your includes. Slicing problems

I am creating a blog about Chelsea. I am using Inkscape to design my template. We have sliced the header, nav in addition to footer. I am having problems with how to slice one’s body up. I contain the main section and a side bar to the right. The white packing containers are just and also the where stuff go but they could need to be bigger or smaller. Hello there, I’m new but not sure where I ought to be posting this! Ideally I’ve got it right! I really want to get into web design, but I’m just about to setup a new firm so I’ve asked a firm to design a website, then I thought out to touch the item up. I’m using dreamweaver cs4 and I’m endeavoring to touch up you page. I’m endeavoring to add a connection to an image and can’t with the life of me work out why it will not work! It seems to be effective in internet explorer, although not chrome. Dented Confidence. Client put my work down :(

I started employment for a client a few hours ago. We gave me ZERO details but mentioned he want’s a new looking theme, regarding gardening. So, I put this together the theory below, at this cycle it’s clear it’s work in progress and there was plenty to do. He basically said the design was s**t (he actually said that). He said he’s experience selling websites knowning that blue and green how I’ve used them should not go together.
