Starting up an online store
Hello everyone, I’m signing up for my first position for building a store from the ground up. I’ve been doing a pinch of research, and I’ve found some things to carry out but I’m not sure what else MY SPOUSE AND I should include. Other than SSL Certificates, kind validation, and keeping my PHP risk-free, what other technology / styles ought to be a incorporate in creating this online store Additionally, can anyone reccomend me a great credit card processing service to use / point me inside the right direction with a " how to" to code a great thing Bless you I would advocate not building your personal store. Many say things including " Keeping my personal PHP secure" — but do you know what the entails Aside from keeping your server & packages informed, walling in this server appropriately, encoding information correctly and config’ing your php to become safe…. There’s items like CSRF attacks & XSS injections that take a good amount of architectural experience in order to avoid. And then an overview, never trusting end user input, protecting against mysql injection, and so forth. Do you know the laws to your country & state regarding information and … Continue reading

The Very Basics
To begin with let me say i always have absolutely zero idea what I am doing. So, in an try to educate myself, I am asking for the basics of just what goes into building an online site. I have sifted even though countless pages along with guides (for almost a year now) and legitimately, none of them dumb it down enough for me. So if any of you can point me in the right direction it might be much appreciated. The site I hope to create: – The chief function will any directory of organisations. Each business would have any brief profile site with basic facts on it, links with their own websites, for example. The directory needs to be easily updated and lastly it needs for being easily searched. – The next function would be news articles etc which would need to be archived, searchable, you obtain the idea. – Site needs to include a community forum, like this one particular, and all that associated member registration, posts, etc. that has an forum. – As you move design of coursesmart can be because technically difficult as anything, once it’s made affiliates who will end up being providing the … Continue reading
Would a CMS help my site concept or hurt my concept?
I will be wanting to produce site that will look like the below concept design dl. getdropbox. com/u/39379/Site%20Concept%20Design%20Code. pdf ATM relating to the database designed, and have a robust understanding of how i may use PHP for you to graphically display the internet. However I are not aware how to allow users to sign in in and enter data in to the database. My friend explained i should start using a CMS (Joomla specificaly), but i was unsure if that will be the answer to my own problem. So we were hoping you people could stear me inside the right direction also the positioning wont be in relation to Pokemon, but the particular analogy works fairly well Effectively, layout-wise that appears like a pretty standard CMS using a plugin for dealing with image galleries and another for controlling product display. Whether you may implement it like that or not can be a different matter. Effectively, as i see, the layout seriously isn’t complex to handle with a CMS. I would try to search for a plugin which often correctly fits in your needs, if not located or difficult in order to implement – subsequently go programming your forms and parsers… … Continue reading

How long should this take?
Howdy everyone, New poster which has a question. I’m on my way out the door, so forgive us if this continues to be answered elsewhere, and kindly point me in the right direction: I just took on your freelance contract, but I’m pretty new towards business aspect with it, tracking working hours, etc… I have a few mockups I’m going to propose later right now, and I want to know what to quotation my client when it comes to hours. How long does a normal website take to construct We’re talking 5-7 major pages, with one or two sub-pages in some categories. CSS heavy, and the mockups range from almost zero illustrator work to substantial amounts. Can a person guys give my family the ballpark prices you use Many thanks! Such the vague question. Depends upon your abilities and just what exactly the client demands. I spend about One hour making up a nice, detailed quote, so answering your question depends upon many variables. Here’s a shorter post about similar topic. Thanks for any reply, I know it had been vague. Got what I want, though. I furthermore found a fairly cool quote calculator: http: //www. designquote. net/html/dq_estimate_wizard. cfm it … Continue reading
Web Based Label Designer…
All right.. newbie here… What I’m looking for is usually some direction. I’ve some good standard web html practical knowledge, but I really need to venture into an area I have certainly not been in just before. My company offers custom laser engraving at metal and plastic-type tags of assorted shapes and forms. I need to incorporate the ability for the visitor to pick out a tag, and place textual content and simple logo graphics within the tag. They would need to be able to resize and reposition that text and company logo, and then be able to submit it in my experience, along with the original logo file in-case further processing is needed. At this position, to be trustworthy.. I don’t possess a clue which net development tool to work with. If someone can certainly point me inside right direction, I might be immensely gracious. I am treating this as a possible learning opportunity but not afraid to amount stuff out as I go. With thanks Again, Sam Are you experiencing a graphic example of the few blanks tags, as being a PNG or GIF image I could show you among using PHP GD library set an image and … Continue reading

Selecting details from a pull down option.
We are currently converting an internet site from Frames/Tables in order to CSS and changing the design together. I have went about getting past most regarding my problems up to now by using guides & searching the Web but I now need an amount of specific guidance. The website is for the local Lads & Girls Clubs and I want to do a page where I have a list of all the clubs from a pull down select button in the top/left of that page (which We have already managed in order to create) and, any time selecting the membership name, details with the club appear on the right of that page, address/opening instances etc. The page could default to details with the actual Clubs Federation as an alternative to a specific golf club. Does anybody know of the free PHP or perhaps Javascript which could allow this, maybe gathering the internet from a MySQL database I’d personally prefer not to generate an individual page for each club and contain the select option point into the HTML. As being the Clubs Federation is a charity I am struggle to pay to have a script written particularly. Apologies that the post … Continue reading

RSS marquee
precisely how could i work with rss feeds to help populate a marquee no exp with xml. Dorky, Give us a connection to your XML (RSS Feed). Here are a few quirks about XML… so easily could see this feed, I might have a very sample script you can try. sorry ml i dont employ a chosen source however. it is something i used to be considering for of which chat site post revamped, by how is looking much better now http: //www. citicommons. com. but yeah my partner and i dont really have learned to get started on doing this, so im spacious for a point inside right direction. thx ahead of time. Some feeds are easy to accomplish, others have malformed XML and the like use ATOM. Therefore, the required code will vary between them. For example, this is some sort of script that makes use of CURL: PHP: < php // rss page for Co – $feed_url = “http: //www. weather conditions. gov/alerts/co. rss”; # INITIATE SNUGGLE. $curl = curl_init(); # CURL CONFIGURATIONS. curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, “$feed_url”); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 0); # GRAB THE XML DOCUMENT. $xmlTwitter = curl_exec($curl); curl_close($curl); … Continue reading
