crawler918.com ?
I had been reviewing the site stats for starterst of my clients (as all of us good web makers do) and I happened apon a rather unusual IP which was active during the time on the web-site: 14. 148. 209. 196 A reverse DNS check on network-tools. com revealed that the domain name behind ?t had been crawler918. com, that’s registered by Enroll. com to these: NameProtect, Inc. 918 Deming Way (that 918 is form of ironic, eh) Madison, Wisconsin, USA This question is as follows: whose bot would it be, and why seemed to be it crawling our client’s site for well over 2 hours in a single shot I thought NameProtect can be a private sign up, but nameprotect. com only covers trademark registrations and things of the nature. Ban that: http: //www. advogato. org/article/610. html I’m sure I vaguely recall it being the following but I generally welcome all spiders. Normally, I do too but ours (as the guy within the article said) did actually ignore the software. txt file and also poked around around things it possessed no business poking close to in. I at ease with that, and that may be what made us so … Continue reading
Multiple browsers for testing
I currently have got Mozilla Firefox and IE installed and also was wondering if it becomes a good idea to setup another browser to test my sites about. Would this conflict when using the other browsers Beware of any major disparities in other browsers than a site optimised with regard to IE and Mozilla Firefox could look different in Opera or Netscape. I’m unsure of any big differences with Opera, nevertheless I’ve seen quite a few minor differences. Mainly it renders just like FF though. You possibly can cancel out the brand new version of Netscape because it steals rendering from whatever other browser you’ve got. If I fitted opera would it conflict with Net explorer or firefox or cause any problems In terms of i know that won’t, I own both installed. I’d also recommend testing on lynx just to see what your webblog will look such as on text-only browsers and search engine optimization spiders. We’ve checked it at lynx, lucky thing MY PARTNER AND I put those wording links on at the end of the page!!! Now just to have my school challenge site partly obeyed I any longer ! do much next time i go back.

hi, need some help
hi was trying to see if an individual can point me inside right direction, basically on this subject site i determined http: //www. prentissdouthit. com/collection_wedding. html i has been wondering how they have the images on the right to load up in the middle of the page not having it goto your popup or brand new page. from the source it seems like it was performed in flash although not sure. thx Seems like Flash to us… Notice how you can’t select any kind of text. Sort of a bad thing because content won’t make an appearance… SEO issues right now there. Yes it is all flash. Something not at all hard to do. If you want a more effective internet site (one that empasizes written content over effects), feel free to use something like Lightbox. The search engines it. Or, seeing that I use mootools, employ Slimbox. There’s a new sample there as well, to see the effect you’ll have access to. When you produce a site completely together with flash, there is bit of chance any search engines like google will understand precisely what your site is focused on. Human can read the text embedded inside flash, but … Continue reading

Search Engine Optimization
Hi Can anyone advise basic principles of how i’ll get my site through to a search inside google I have a free tiscali website, but use any seperate registrar for my website. I specifically want people to find it If only they type within the name of your website i. e. the provider and site might be called fghj. com. i need someone to seek fghj – for the site to seem in google…. Just about any advice appreciated. gives thanks You may not get it to complete the domain identify only thing, because searches pick out content too. Just know that normally it takes a few months before it appears on Google. Get others to link in your site from other websites. The spiders will discover you. You actually can’t control just what google does about your site. Once it’s on the web, then it’s wide open. Simple as this. You can minimize some pages from being indexed with the robots. txt file (google that filename for much more info). I find when you have a link into the site within the signiture on here coursesmart seems to get found by google within a day or 3. try just … Continue reading

Recipies. Anyone do them right?
I’m in search of a site which will let me search across numerous recipes by ingredients, pick recipes and be able to print out the many recipes and a grocery list. Ideally, it would lookup other website’s directories of recipes so that you can harvest more details. Possibly there is any website or perhaps software (mac) in which does this there should be a website which includes recipe collections. maybe you have searched google oh theres tons of places with recipies. I haven’t found any who have a large enough database i always feel like I possibly could really sift via and be astonished, certainly nothing I’ve found that spiders other places as well as organizes a grocery list. All I could think of can be subscribing to a web based database (either free or to get a fee). Such as this: http: //www. cook-books. com/ You’ll find millions of formula sites, so scanning these folks would be impossible. Yet another thought… Buy a DVD with millions of recipes and place the data alone server. Because of this, you could help to increase it (and remove any) once you want. You should be in manipulate of it, also , you … Continue reading
