Nameservers on my PC
Hi there guys, I purchased a domain identify from godaddy and desire to host it about my pc.. i’ve downloaded Apache/php/mysql but now i’d like to see my domain appoint to direct in order to my pc.. i think this is done by changing that nameservers on my domain name admin panel but I need ideas of what my nameserver is is there some kind of command like ipconfig that will tell me that Thanks a lot kindly in improvement Sorry but I couldn’t find virtually any threads that appeared to be related that will yours. I’m sure some sort of human will reply soon that will out. Use your IP address because primary nameserver (ping a person’s machine name should you be not behind a router), although loads of ISPs don’t enable you to host a domain on your hard disk. It also has to be a static IP address in addition or it would not work. Real but my ISP makes use of DHCP and my own IP practically in no way changes. Of course on dialup it’s actually a different story in addition to from what I have seen about AOL is that you never really apparently … Continue reading

Wed Site Host
Hi I have recently designed an online site and would now choose to upload it on the web. I don’t mind paying for just a this but I tend not to want to make use of a host that forces you to display adverts as well as pop-ups. I have used a particular called easyspace. com who insist that you simply place a small advert on the site. Does anybody know of your good host that intend domain registration in addition to host facilities at an easily affordable price of around say 50 My oh my yes, the strong will administer you places. Now i’m hositng with DreamHost (http: //dreamhost. com ). They’re really unquie. Thank anyone. They are exactly what I am looking for!! The is strong but by the time we have got paid the taxes in the uk you are definitely not left with a great deal!!!!! I can assist you out if you would like. Directories..
Basically have one web-site in my main directory (prblic_html) plus a second site in a sub directory (public_html/subdir), along with the sub directory has a domain name, will that web site be crawled by google as if its part of the primary website Should they will be seperated somehow Im confused if I should deny access to the sub submission site in my main sites robots. txt archive or not. There’s no doubt that I want these both ranked seperatly, unless it will be better together Your engine won’t recognize your subdomain we know; it can’t pick it up on its personal. A complicated answer: I don’t think search engines could dig your primary domain, attempt to find all CNAME documents, and then index those results. If it lets you do, then that’s poor given some subdomains here really should not be indexed.

Hi we need some help from someone who has experience in web site design. We’ve just created my very own simple website and suggestions the subdomain http: //sitesellproducts. bravehost. com I only employed HTML not css or some other language. The situation i am having is we can view my website inside the mozilla firefox browser i’ve the latest version firefox 2. Now after i try viewing the positioning in internet explorer SIX it displays the positioning differently because the banner at the top of my site really should be centered but net explorer displays it towards left. View my web-site in different browsers to find out the problem on your own. My question is usually can someone explain to my advice in the a lot of simplest and obvious to see terms because i’m still new for you to this Find out how to create a website that should view the same manner in each browser I’d prefer my website to be effective in mozilla firefox, world wide web explorer, netscape, opera and about the mac OS or anything else. Web Development Space – Hosting
Hi I want to dabble even more in Web Development. I would love to potentially creat 3/4 sites. Are usually best and cheapest way I can do this Possibly there is anyone out there offering an offer on hosting 3/4 sites If so please reply and also PM me with details (i. electronic. secured server). With thanks Do you mean 3/4 TLD (top-level domains) Or maybe can it often be done via subdomains Via subdomains, you are capable of doing it on nearly all hosts. TLDs are only slightly harder, and might value a VPS whose configuration you’ll be able to play with. Ummm i basically prefer to creat 3 – 4 sites one for each person… so long while i eventually established a domain name that belongs to them and fwd that will it, im not really fussed how it’s done… Is TLD used by basically using every sub domain being a main domain you should explain more- many thanks Well, a TLD is like google. com. A subdomain is like maps. google. com. In case you could set up subdomains, then it really is easy. But it appears you can’t. Usually there are some hosts (like Site5) that … Continue reading
Question on General Site Organization for Member Area
Hello there all, As well as I’m working on includes a public and new member area. I’m using a php login script to help enter member spot. Would I often be better off using a subdomain for that member area or ought to be a just use internet. domainname. com/member_area I’m not guaranteed what the advantages and disadvantages are of this particular. If it concerns, I will end up being implementing google blog but I should be able to tie this for the domain or subdomain, and it’s also independent of where the member area is actually. Any help could well be greatly appreciated. p. ersus. I think here is the correct area due to this thread. If not really, please feel free to transfer It doesn’t matter. Your members area will probably be protected by a " user login". It will involve PHP TIME, and thus, you will command which pages or content influenced by whether a SESSION exist or not (the customer is logged-in). On most occasions, the very same pages will probably be used regarding both members along with non-members… it might you need to be the content which changes. That’s where CSS templates come into use. … Continue reading
Server side redirect for mobile/handheld users
Greetings All I’ve been looking into an effective way to redirect people accessing a niche site via handheld devices, to a focused page for mobile or portable users. I’ve found sources teaching me how to accomplish this via javascript and php, but post wondered if anybody knew a server side way eg via htaccess file I have only until now found this : but unsure of the way to use it or whether this is actually the way to take action: (http: //www. alistapart. com/articles/return-of-the-mobile-stylesheet) (I understand that recently there’s recently been news that Google advises to never redirect and to help keep people on the identical url, but for this purpose, i do desire to redirect them) Thank you! Here’s an added complete version. Stylesheet type: Put this in a file called ". htaccess" and save that file from the directory with your primary css file (presumably identified as style. css). There it is possible to create a separate file called cellular. css for cellular devices. Code: RewriteCond %REQUEST_URI! /mobiledirectoryhere/. *$ RewriteCond %HTTP_ACCEPT " text\/vnd\. wap\. wmlapplication\/vnd\. wap\. xhtml\+xml" NC, AND ALSO RewriteCond %HTTP_USER_AGENT " sonysymbiannokiasamsungmobilewindows ceepocopera" NC, AND ALSO RewriteCond %HTTP_USER_AGENT " mininitroj2memidp-cldc-netfrontmotup\. browserup\. linkaudiovox" NC, AND ALSO … Continue reading
