Organization and Visual Help.
Hey men, so here could be the deal. I’ve had the website for almost a year now. When i relocated away for college i types of neglected it, but ever since i’m back house, i’ve got plenty of time to put on it. Originally, pondered a friend layout my layout to do (mostly because i had been lazy). My website is good for tutorials on steps to make sims 2 mods. I’ve still got plenty of content to placed, but I relatively wait until the better organized. So here come the issues. I personally don’t like the current design. I was pondering something bigger, in addition to a small page going down the middle of the browser. I think she made the room so small, and also the fonts. I had a survey a time back and lots of people said that it turned out difficult to find things. Now, I strive to be the one to design my own web page. I know ample XHTML and CSS for you to hand code it myself, but i just dont know how i’d like it to seem! It’s frustrating for the reason that i’ve had 2 years of graphic design teaching, … Continue reading

IE and Firefox
My webpage comes on just the way I’d like to see it to within Firefox. But next time i view it throughout IE, it equates really weird. your menu is far too spaced out, the tagboard doesn’t come up correctly and the fonts are bigger(sometimes). How to fix this Research Google for " IE CSS Package Model Hack" What I find really helpful is that instead of setting up your whole page in a single browser you produce a section, check the idea across all surfers, then continue. I usually break this page into header/content. This makes troubleshooting not that hard as problems are discovered immediately after they happen. Meaning less searching by means of CSS/HTML to diagnose the issue. I did and still, absolutely nothing changes… Probably a very stupid question… but you own tried to carry out the hack correct You haven’t just simply googled it then gone website property and said ‘nope certainly not working’. Have you got a link to your website Its a bit hard to figure blind. Naturally I did! Now i am not that dumb… (joking) Really, I have tried using it out and for whatever reason, IE takes zero notice of this. … Continue reading

iframes and frames
i see lots of " don’t utilize frames/iframes" well i thought i’d personally start a thread and that means you could post actual data and facts to generate it clear why that is bad since it really is brought up so frequently by those in which do use them and people who do not. please make sure you include a check out your resource(s) for making it a appropriate point of discourse. Whenever server-side technology is available to me, I haven’t had a need to use both structures and iframes in most years. One of many problems is they will introduce unecessary HTTP demands. Just like having a million images or scripts on the page, the more HTTP connections, the slower the page is to load. It might also wreak havoc with items like Javascript and this browser’s Back mouse. For us, Frames depends on the sort of prject that I am doing. My personal website is manufactured without frames precisely as it is about resourceful writing, poetry plus stories. I did try and use frames in this site but it looked outside proportion, I still develop the site up, without having frames beacuse the item looks more appealing to … Continue reading

How to create transparent background for images?
I would like to use layers just to save an irregularly-shaped image that has a TRANSPARENT background together with another image. After i try to conserve this image for a jpg or gif, the particular transparent background transforms white. I have observed that some surfers don’t handle png information well (I feel using Macromedia to get iamges) and png also consumes masses of quality. Will be best way involving saving images to ensure the transparent background will stay GIF encourages 1-bit transparency. What program have you been using to set up the images–Fireworks Use GIF and make sure you choose the transparency solution. An other thing will be the matte color -> choose the one that will coordinate with image that’s underneath. Web Explorer 6 really doesn’t support PNG, and a number of people are still with it. Yes I am just using Fireworks. After i save an image using a transparent background as either a gif or jpg, the particular background appears whitened. Macromedia Fireworks will not seem to permit me to choose a transparency solution when saving some sort of gif – and also anything else for instance. It does permit me to save as the photoshop psd … Continue reading

Mosaic tile effect, advice, help
Hi, I’m new in this article, but a longtime lurker for once i need help for my projects. No doubt there are some brilliant minds with here, and I’m open to any kind of advice or help I can get on a question I’ve. Here is what I’m endeavoring to accomplish, I’m setting up a website for somebody of mine who will be a musician. For the discography page with the site, we’d want to have a mosaic tile regarding album covers that she has sung on, (about 26 recording covers) that are going to be approx 125x125pixels each and every, roughly 5 rows, SOME columns. When your page loads, if at all possible, we’d like these to load almost akin to a domino outcome, one after other quickly. On mouseover, we’d want to have a conversation bubble type package appear on screen having a button to take note of the song about that album, and perhaps 2-3 wrinkles of text that talk about the song and also album. Is this possible to undertake in CSS Otherwise, what other options should i seek, thanks.: basic: I think you ought to find a Flash programmer to get this done for you. … Continue reading

But you realize what…. nowadays generally there exist trend associated with switching to The search engines Chrome, so… the thing is that, IE doesnt operate Firefox up However, if you arent as well bothered about lots and a lot of extensions, I would examine Chrome and Safari while they both use Webkit, which is the best rendering engine out there at the moment! I’ve heard advantages of Chrome. I’m becoming sick of Firefox, and about wanting to move on and also try it. i employed to use IE exclusively but i recently changed to firefox it had been a bit shaky at first but that wears off after per week or two firefox feels perfect the hardest matter was unlearning this habit of pressing the IE icon after i want a browser Both are generally good and harmful. What are you seeing when you see this site??
REDESIGN: Client needed to help update his espresso! And all this while I kept thinking it had been my work!!! (He has since changed the look to remove that boxes from all pages women and men home page and the blog. ) Unique post: I’ve viewed this website from several various computers, browsers, ip handles, emptied all caches and I’m still certainly not replicating what my client is viewing. He’s in Town and I’m in america. For this page: he sees one simple " box" impression under the pen header, CV for GREAT BRITAIN (should be a complete of 6 photograph swaps). He will not see Professionals, Graduates, Scholars, etc. (I much favor sprites but this is built on WordPress and after per day of pulling out there my hair looking for sprites to work–& found out they wouldn’t with WP, I simply just did an impression swap. ) REDESIGN: Client asked for your 6 boxes to get removed today through all pages though the home page so this is now a moot place. From anywhere within the same site, whenever he clicks at " Guarantee" inside top nav, he’s taken to a white page having an image, not the … Continue reading
