Newbie asks: ‘div’ tags not ‘containing’ their content properly
Greetings, my problem is when a different ‘div’ tag shunts a pre-existing one further listed below, only the outdated div’s content goes – the div itself stays from the same place. This is a picture of an illustration: http: //i303. photobucket. com/albums/nn134/mr-skill/Picture22. png The chief box with the actual semi-opaque black background can be a div called ‘gallery’. I’ve truly inserted a navbar over this in it truly is own div, visible dimly behind the top part of ‘gallery’. The navbar has shunted the particular content of ‘gallery’ (6 photographs with captions) downwards, whilst ‘gallery’ alone has stayed set up. How do you ensure that a div + its content will conduct themselves ‘as one’ Support much appreciated, thank you. PHP: <! DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML ONE. 0 Transitional//EN” “http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd”> < html xmlns=”http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml”> < head> < meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=UTF-8″ /> < title> Untitled Document< /title> < link href=”.. /overall. css” rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” /> < style type=”text/css”> <! –. mugshots padding: 10px; #gallery width: 673px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; … Continue reading →

And one more thing can someone explain to me how twits did their curved corners and altered the height health of their main page seek out bar Thanks I’ll make this kind of quick since I don’t possess much time. Valid code gives your blog stability and great performance. There are a lot of reasons to aim to code the right way all of which can be found thru researching google and understanding. I want to put it with this… It’s kinda like the difference between an auto being built along with quality parts and one with used segments. Basic "How to" for ul nav
I know this should be inside tutorial section but there are a number cobwebs in that portion of the forum! I just were going to post a uncovered bones navigation together with hover effect for those who don’t know how. I see plenty of navbars that have excessively much code for what they are doing. So this can be pretty srtipped down and can be enhanced, but it really doesn’t need a lot else. Notice how little markup is necessary to render this specific, not very a lot css either. Just copy and paste this whole code in the blank doc. Watch Example Code: <! DOCTYPE html page PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML ONE PARTICULAR. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" > < html page xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" > < head> < meta http-equiv=" Content-Type" content=" text/html; charset=utf-8" /> < title> Untitled Document< /title> < design type=" text/css" > #navbar background-color: #663399; /* #navbar div is often a wrapper for this ul list*/ height: 30px; #navbar ul border: 0; /* Changing that margin here will require changing the #navbar height to build with the ul*/ #navbar li drift: left; /* This will likely put the li’s in … Continue reading →

Alignment problem with CSS in IE
Hi there Everyone, I’m taking care of a page that could have invisible backlinks hidden over a great image. I used CSS to help position the links within the image. It shows correctly in Firefox as well as Chrome, but in IE there’s an area between a lot of the background images end of it. Does anyone realize how to close the gap Thanks beforehand. (I will, not surprisingly, add a border=" none" tag if the page is all set — to disguise the links. ) I evaluations have a whole of 13 links, if that matters. With thanks, Joe <!
