Help Me With My List of EVERY File Extension

Quite simply, I’m making a new log analyzer program (that is definitely the first decent one for under $500!!! ). I’m trying build a comprehensive list of every file extension on the net that indicates your page (and possibly not an image/plugin/etc. ). Here’s what I’ve so far: html htm shtml stm php pl cgi asp cfm (no extension) I had been wondering if people guys/girls can think about any I might have missed. (Note: It _will_ be possible for individuals to add extensions in the preferences, but in my own days doing website development I’ve learned to make things as automatic as you possibly can… there’s more Grandpa Bob’s within the ‘Net than you would imagine. So, I’d like to try and get as numerous extensions as I will. ) Oops, did not remember jsp… there’s additional. You’re missing a few hundred, although your search is at vain. If I wanted to I may possibly serve a PHP web page under page. mysuperextension merely wanted to… . aspx . shtm . ascx . php3 . php4 . php5 . jst The examples below formats also assistance ASCII output: . txt . htl . xml . vrml . sgml . … Continue reading

Can this design work in tables?

Ive been tweaking with this design for months and cannot apparently correctly lay this out with furniture. I can undertake it fine with div tags, but it really will look awful in 600×800 and can be multiple other complications. Is it possibly possible for me to get this done with tables We are pretty unexperienced i guess in relation to laying the web page out with furniture. I am implementing Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and ImageReady. Can some just one tell me how to handle it, or, even better, point me somewhere where i could learn what is necessary. Recommendations an unsliced image of the layout. http: //www. looseleafmusic. com/deleteme. gif Thanks everyone in advance. I’m not %100 good how these turtle cash work, but im gonna endeavor to offer up $5. -Nick WE sliced up ones layout and zipped this psd file, but it’s too big to add here. If you PM me the email address, I am going to email the zip file. Attached below could be the sliced layout inside HTML w/ the actual images. Open it in place in Dreamweaver and read more. I could do all the slicing and exactly what not, the problem is having copy … Continue reading

Does the size of the computer screen affect the way web pages are viewed?

After a friend observed my site for initially, he informed us that my major banner is not available on Internet Explorer. Next time i viewed the web-site, I saw no not available. Everything seemed acceptable. Does the size on the computer screen affect how web pages tend to be viewed Only the resolution with the screen can change the display on the webpage. Are you viewing it within a different browser than IE Li Brad You possibly can simulate different resolutions by using a plug-in for Mozilla Firebird. … Or by making use of JR’s resolution viewer inside ‘tutorials’ section. It is best to refer that width thing to resolution. As well as affect the technique webpage are seen. < — if you can’t specfic the placement of objects as part of your webpage. You possibly can fix that having fix-size table (or shape, or whatever). Remember not to ever use % pertaining to height and bigger. But for the people with smaller coomputer sceens, resolution is actually affected by its monitor width and video card also. I always idea that only resolution affects web site viewing, but if you need to get technical, thus does the observe, video card, … Continue reading

Test in Mozilla and IE not same

While i test a website I’m implementing, it previews excellent on IE and Netscape. However while i try it at mozilla it appearance really wide plus shows this on the top of the particular page: < %LANGUAGE=" JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE=" 1000" %> Thank you Try the idea in firefox on the other hand. IE and netscape do not realize big errors all around health suck with code. If you could get a site to take a look good in Firefox, you do have a site that can work towards most browsers that has a little tweaking.

how to design images for different screen sizes

i’m only starting with site style, and would like to discover how to make my images scale up or down automatically having different screen sizing’s. i have designed your website with frames at first because need to have an area centered around the page that can certainly scroll several pages of info….. but my business is learning how this really is possible using kitchen tables and divs. dilemma is, i created the 800×600 graphic which i sliced up in fireworks to set-up the page. i need everything to seem within that page, without scrolling down forever—and to keep the navbar generally accessible. when i look at my site using almost every other screen size, when i either get incomplete images, or unappealing gaps between all of them. my business is using dreamweaver to develop the site. and am trying to test it about angelfire (but it does not load right! ) please look it over if that helps you to answer my concern. www. angelfire. com/az3/solverstechline thanks in advance!! Allowed. One of many first things MY SPOUSE AND I learned with using a graphics program’s web coding generator, is it generally doesn’t work well. In other words, there are generally … Continue reading

Many options, whats good?

Hi guys, I like i found the following board alot far sooner, but at least i did.. My business is pretty much a ameture designer. When my band formed lots of years back, we were needing a site. Being broke musicians, all of us had limmitted alternatives. A friend gave me a copy regarding his dreamweaver and i started messing all over. I made an affiliate site w/ dreamweaver, nothing special which will served its purpose for a while. Then i discovered of php nuke, so i fitted it and already been fussing with obstructions and modules for a while now. I need above what is obtainable from php nuke. I recently recently looked on Xoops, and Mambo. Now im totally stumped as to what direction to go. What i need is really a site with all the current stuff a band could need. I need a mailing record form so men and women can add themselves on the mailing list, an establishment to post announcement, a photo gallery, a calander or some method to display upcoming shows, a message panel, mp3 player and so on. I see many sites with get access areas and things. Are all these sites … Continue reading

why is it so hard to visually design a Flash site?!?!

Hello, I’ve wasted my personal Saturday revising the actual homepage of my personal client, who prefers a Flash online page. I formerly had a layout which featured the horizontal navigation selection.. but the clientele didn’t mentioned it looked too just like the rest of that pages. Also, Thought about to change your horizontal menu to somewhat of a vertical one because more webpages were included with the site. I really need some serious help or discounted airfare visually design your Flash page that actually LOOKS impressive. The technical actionscript-side of any Flash page is a no-brainer to me but it saddens me any particular one time ago I had been a pro during designing while actionscript baffled me to simply no end. Now it is the opposite! My current method is going to an archive with Flash sites and considering what other developers have done in order to get ideas. In Illustrator, I try in order to emulate what I have seen on those other Flash sites, (because I choose to design in Illustrator first before Flash) even so I always disagree while using results. Either the form looks too easy, dull, or getting older look compatible while using other … Continue reading

So how do you build your sites? What is your organization style/workflow/process?

Seeing that I handed down a former web project of mine into a co-worker, she noted the best way differently she sorted out her site/files along with how it took her longer just to get accustomed to how my stuff was create. So this is just a general question away from curiosity. I’m wondering how we all build ones websites — just what your general progression is, how everyone organize your data, etc. Me I always start in Photoshop that has a blank 1024×768 theme. I literally develop everything in Photoshop how I’d expect to see it on the web — background image/texture, a 750px box (for primary content) or other structure, and photographs. I populate subject matter areas with phony text (Verdana or maybe whatever font, no anti-alias, so it looks like it would in the browser), and use the text tool to set-up my headers, or anything else. I even place such things as fake iframes in the event used (take your screenshot of my own desktop and paste the scrollbar through my browser) and everything else that you’d see inside the live site. Once I’ve my mockup executed, I am qualified to save off your full-size JPG … Continue reading

Newbie in need of answers!

Howdy there. A long though ago (about 5 years ago) POST learned HTML along with made some pretty generic websites with regards to nothing interesting. Lately, after seeing a variety of beautiful WordPress models (like this, this specific, this, or this). I currently have zero knowledge of the actual web standards but I would like to learn how I could create designs like these. I figured it might be easiest to commence to learning design as a result of just skinning existing web apps previous to learning to code my own. (Yeah, I know I am just probably WAY before myself there). I’m not sure where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction To begin with Welcome to WDF… Find out CSS, would often be my advise. It allows the content and also the layout (look & feel) that they are kept separate. Using a solo CSS file for all you pages of one site will grant consistency between webpages. Some great sites are: CSS Layout CSS Basics One particular True Layout CSS Cribsheet CSS System Gala There are also a few places Allow me to suggest that list beautiful websites that are generally web standard complient. … Continue reading

Design from a color blind

Here are comps I are already trying to cause it to more, uh.. specialized looking. Harsh feedback are acceptable. Should improve my style and design skills and the layouting skills…: ermm: it for a car shop for the auto enthusiasts… ehehehe Truly, that looks very awesome. Better than everything I could come up with Thanks! Therefore… which one is superior number 3 looks one of the best to me, the contrast regarding colors is more effective and nicer working. as for design and style for color blind ppl everyone should use this specific http: //colorfilter. wickline. org/ #4 is in fact really good. My only complaint by it is that it truly is too dark, yet that fits the particular genre, so thumbs way up from me. In addition, not sure in case you designed the logo, but you should say to them to consider revising it and make the N in caps – right now, it reads a good deal like the GAS logo to my opinion (from PMR) Make like #4 too. They are all excellent. #4 hmm… change the image of your respective model car, it’s too simple and also plain… find a unique image that will … Continue reading
