An Idea For Securing your code
Hello everyone, I’m the latest guy here. Merely joined up this evening. I see that most of you are obtaining some real challenges keeping your internet sites secure. Just wished to make a idea. There is a script available identified as Code-Warden. It uses php along with your. htaccess file in your server to limit your code from being viewed simply by pesky thieves. http: //www. codewarden. com Transio, My organization is truly sorry to hear that you have been tricked. I checked out your website when I had been still lurking inside the forums, and I thought ?t had been FANTASTIC! There are ways to guard yourself, and make them at least slightly harder for those people *(& %# that think they’re so slick to grab you off. Granted nothing today is 100% risk-free. But trust me, I sent the code due to this to a good friend of mine, and he said for the effort that it took to hack the actual code, it might have been just as simple to design out of Scratch, lol! Unfortunately I have not yet found a totally free way to develop the identical effect that this kind of script has… but … Continue reading

2 questions
2 Questions (as the subject ot the line states) 1. What is meant once they say interface design and/or what would i learn in the course coming way up titled interface design 2. What would end up being the difference in utilizing a. GIF image rather then say a. JPG image Will JPG load faster with a webpage. Should you NOT utilize a gif image to get a standard image such as your banner against your website Thanks for the help, for what may appear like dumb questions. Plus I would just find out from school nonetheless im off to get a couple more weeks: classic: 1) As much as I’m aware, interface design is all about usability, navigation and having the job done. One example is, you would probably discover website navigation and how to do it easy for getting around a internet site, and perhaps if ?t had been a ‘non-specific’ course you might learn about software program interface design or maybe even a main system for a bit of hardware, such as a tv maybe a microwave. 2) Generally speaking, jpegs are made use of mostly for photographs or graphics with a lot of different colours, just … Continue reading
Section 508
Obviously, it is not 508-compliant to acquire an input area of type " password. " The key reason why God Bless The usa… land that MY PARTNER AND I laugh at. Certainly, I don’t realize that much about the main 508 thing given that I’m Canadian and since it may not be a big matter yet here, nonetheless I can’t view " password" becoming non-508-compliant. http: //www. section508. gov does it right there in their website (although they also have a ridiculous Javascript alert field that pops up every time you click with an external website link. ) The encryption of the actual visible characters inhibits readers from examining them back, and that is considered a problem Needless to say, I would think it might be MORE of a challenge for a reader that they are shouting out your password in a big office, so I don’t really understand why from a stability perspective. I think that readers need to be spec’d to require reading the quantity of characters in your pwd field alternatively. Would make additional sense, and would give a similar usability that the remaining of us possess with pwd fields. Was hoping to create the WDF webpage … Continue reading

I 1st visited it after I saw these guys live… astounding band, terrible blog. Now I finally got past your blank page, however to no apply for… it only becomes worse http: //www. dredg. com i figured it away in seconds, but yes it is a really stupid webpage. http: //www. dredg. com/home. html Seriously!! That’s what WHEN I call USABLE web design! Kinda appears the inside of your toilet after a night of power-drinking using the guys to me personally. I dunno though. I’m still partial towards the MMN found in this article: http: //www. v-c-v. com You have to watch the intro primary, then go throughout. (By the approach, that song while in the intro has a way cool guitar riff. Anyone know what exactly it is) www. dredg. com has my vote; atleast V-C-V is readable. I guess that is certainly Canadian terminology for just a piss-up… LOL… I like it! Sometimes art surpasses the requirement for usability Plus sometimes murder can be justified. If the Metro Toronto Police won’t … Continue reading

Jakob Nielsen killed TemplateMonster??!!??!!
I have just visited www. TemplateMonster. com. I was surprised to discover a totally new style and design there. Through the ICQ discussion with a number my friends: too patriotic (pro-American), quickly loading, impact about usability. As for me it appearance nice; more business enterprise and, get much about usability indeed; I’d an impression of which it’s Jakob Nielsen putted towards practice!!! On the other side it is… I need ideas of… More dull Dried out and too business Or it could be it’s just my own nostalgia about older TM (one of my favorite sites around the net). Will it be worth to drop on design for any sake of usability I need ideas of really… But anyway it’s worth investigating! Looks such as 1000 other business sites now. I don’t see the way it’s " American" wanting. That’s definitely certainly not USA blue, along with the USA is never the only RW& B country on this planet. Anyhow, I liked that old look. It was more unique also it gave an idea of how many templates you’d discover there. PS – POST don’t see how the tab style switch has increased usability. When I recall, the old layout … Continue reading

Making sites that look like they were made from good templates.
Within my oppinion, only about 10% connected with websites really glimpse and work excellent. Even these 10% really are crappy when comparing them to the websites at places like Template Recreation area (http: //www. templatepark. com/templates. php). What I am really looking for is often a guide to generate websites that appear like the ones from template park. I don’t cherish useability and most that crap, I just want templaty web pages. There all so excellent, like, I don’t know anyone who might even come close… Also, I can signal and markup about 90% of the sites on right now there, so I don’t need anymore coding or html/css knowledge (just a number of 3d design as well as flash effects along with I’ll be all set). Only 10% of websites look good and work great Sorry pal, nonetheless that’s complete b******s! What would you rather have – an effective, yet pretty good site that offers powerful content, rapidly, or a sluggish loading, but pretty impressive site of which delives OK written content Myself, I’d opt for the former. Positive, your site great, but you want anyone to stay around to truly it don’t everyone!!! Usability is essential, you want … Continue reading

Check out http: //www. designsnack. com/ They look at websites in quite a groundbreaking way… Articles, Usability and Visuality are a number of the top of the list! It really depends on the reason for the site. Design and usability usually are always important. This is a reference to coloration scheme, where elements usually are placed relative to one another, does the map-reading make sense Aesthetics generally enter play as good. Content is vital, and content business, which is directly regarding layout and navigation is really important. Regardless of just how good or bad your internet site looks, it requires solid content. I always take up a new project through organizing content and developing a natural flow pertaining to information. A site’s puporse is directly linked to content organization and this varies considerably coming from personal fun sites for the professional level. Screen Resolutions
Concerning been browsing around trying to see surveys about precisely what screen resolution is the most used. But most of the surveys are often 2003 or 2004. What resolution would you think I should make a website, 800 simply by 600 or 1024 by means of 768 1024 times 768. It will be most common resolution. I think all over 25% of users browse in 900 x 600 as well as about 65% employ 1024 x 768. Nevertheless, it would possibly be best to target good usability through all resolutions, even approximately 1280 x 1024! It really is determined by what the site is perfect for also. I’m sure you can find threads around the forum relating to this topic that one could search for, thus I won’t fancy. It’s tempting to be able to drop 800 x 600 but I wouldn’t get it done quite yet as world wide there are however a fair lots of people still utilizing it. I reckon after some duration should see it all but gone yet by then we might need to placed more consideration directly into portable devices than we do at this point. You really can design for many resolutions. Instead … Continue reading
