Trying to pass variable from the URL

I’ve a CGI script in which uses variables which must be passed from article to page. Merely run the CGI script, WE cannot use Node Side Includes. Currently, if I apply SSI, I cannot go a variable on the URL. I’d like to use the Apache mod_rewrite RewriteRule in order to pass a variable. The RewriteRule (a-z0-9+)/(a-z0-9+)$ $2. html E=MY_VAR: $1, L isn’t working. I’ve tried other activities, but this will be what the Apache documentation indicates is supposed to work. I’m with Apache 1. THREE OR MORE. 27 Can anyone help Please and several thanks! I remember about couple of years ago I had written a custom handler that would load pages, perform SSI in addition to allow special includes for instance results from CGI job applications and running exterior programs. Luckily I keep my old code, I used such as this: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (. +). shtml pageprocessor. plpage=$1& template=shtml How are you currently trying to move your variables Is there much script Your current regexp accumulates two lowercase alphanumeric strings seprated by way of " /" and end that has a $, then attempts to help load the file that may be supplied by cost-free item with … Continue reading

Seeking "Manhattanesque" site design

G’day, I’m seeking web-sites — any sites at all that come to mind — that might serve being an inspiration for my own ring company site(s), the planning for which I’m outsourcing. I’m searching for something professional, management and business, " Manhattanesque" — realistic in design, helpful in structure, not having superfluous, unnecessary elements of any kind, a cognitive oasis, should you would, and created while using fullest regard for the reason for these site(s) — its form following it is function. The kind of site Howard Roark (points once you learn the reference! ) would love to visit. My firm is going to be offering web expert services, including: hosting; style; domain registration; support (via live chat plus a ticket system) for sure web-based applications; etc. The theme I’m seeking might inform the eventual design off sites of our company, from the central to the smallest subdivision. The input is liked. Thanks! Lyceum (John).

Accessing Cpanel behind a firewall

An issue I’ve had for some time, is logging straight into Cpanel from work. Both Cpanel and Webmail are employing port 8081, and that is blocked by this employers firewall. A NEW workaround, is to put together a cpanel proxy. A NEW Danish indivdual (Niels Andersen) provides made a PHP script that sets this way up automatically: http: //cpanelproxy. net/ The script is opensource and can be downloaded and scrutinized. The autoinstaller (link for the page), installs the subdomains automaticaly for yourself. Soon after completion, you can obtain cpanel or webmail within the open port 8080. Normally you’d probably type: domain. com/cpanel which usually would halt while behind firewalls forbidding traffic on ports rather than 8080. It’s simple to type: cpanel. site. com and acquire access through opening 8080. Thanks – invaluable tip as I have exactly the same firewall problem. GIVES THANKS! Could’ve used this 30 days ago when I became able to waves some stuff at the office (locked down atm) although hey, better later than never!

Display?

Hi there All. For your last 3 : 4 years I have been designing, expanding and maintaining a website for a Manchester based record label. About seven days ago I purchased a new Nvidia Geforce 5950 250mb video clip card for our system. I get always used ATI products and solutions and had not any problems, however, the Geforce was plenty. These days, since I have installed the unit card, the website use has developed a few strange characteristics; This page background coloration, which is the dotted dark glowing blue. Seems to be displaying a problem associated with filming known as vingetting. The majority of you will discover this effect while somebody being filmed for any T. V. interview incorporates a stripy shirt on and the resulting image is usually distorted. After I found this issue, I spent the remainder of this day concerned that with the last few years. All Nvidia viewers on the site had thought of this unpleasantness into the extent that many might have turned away on the website altogether! And so, I sat because of think of a way to resolve this challenge. Planning on modifying the problematic color under consideration to one that has … Continue reading

Help!!!

I need help in picking out a way to use the colors Green and Yellow I’m working on a small site whose colorings are Green as well as Yellow. I have no idea how to help to make them work. Just about any suggestions I have no idea of about just green and green, but here are a few links with people colors.. http: //www. csszengarden. com/cssfile=050/050. css http: //www. csszengarden. com/cssfile=063/063. css http: //www. csszengarden. com/cssfile=078/078. css http: //www. delicious-monster. com/ http: //www. jaerhagen. no/ http: //www. redhatwine. com/ http: //www. hotelplichta. sk/ All many kinds.. Hopefully of these kind of inspires you. Try and sense of balance things out will stay have green to yellow from a ratio of 3 OR MORE: 1, too much green and things can look a bit over whelming. In my expertise it’s easier to use yellow layered upon green rather than the other way around. So use yellow only for things you would like to particularly stick out there Yes something similar to that. I have a tendency to use that colour for such things as hyperlinks, rollovers, identify plate/logo (if plausable), sub-headings maybe a side column and so on. The only … Continue reading

front end vs. back end vs. limited time

Good day everyone, If time is usually an issue with web site design, whats the best approach to start and also complete a project after getting your resources plus background information available to use. Should a solo designer start taking the front end (creating the look of the website) or even should that person first deal with making several layout templates that may work with any kind of design that the individual dreams up In addition, suppose that you need to do the front end first however , you find it progressively more difficult to translate the IT design in to a workable HTML formatting. What are some ways of work around that problem For those who have a superb expertise in table design CSS Speaking from particular experience I once spent a lot of time researching the " look" of a website without watching how it would format on the net. And since you merely have so very much freedom with HTML CODE, I was dissapointed this my vision didn’t look similar once it seemed to be coded. In fact it looked uglier. Entrance end: Creating the visual design and images that continue a website, by simply editing images … Continue reading

Animated GIF

Hello on the market, My business is just getting began and am working away at my first internet site. I want to place a fluttering banner icon on my personal page. I have seen them else where but I won’t be able to figure it out. I am implementing Dreamweaver MX. Do Need to do it having Flash. I was sure there was a real simple way but I will be lost. It is only going becoming a small flag with which has 3 stages towards the flutter. Gives thanks As a person’s thread title indicates, you know that an animated GIF is definitely what you’re after. You are able to create animated GIF’s with different programs. Probably the most common is of which comes bundled using Photoshop (the program of choice for most designers). People basically create ones drawings on individual layers. The variance between each part will mimic this effect of motions. You save the file as being a. psd file, and can then select ‘optimize as’. You will end up given the selection of saving it as being a GIF. WHEN I created the connection in 10 just a few seconds to illustrate. It’s a bouncing ball … Continue reading

Hosting 2 domain on 1 webserver

We have a client that may be hosting 2 names on single webserver. He has 5 static additional ip address. He would like to assign or allocate ip address with each domain. That server is at the rear of the router….. normally in establishing a webserver behind a router you recently assign static ip correct then open the required port for this server & it will eventually work. But the matter here is if you’re behind the router the webserver work but the COUPLE OF domains hosted with that server may share 1 WAN ip target….. is there just about any work around for this one I’ll thankyou if anyone may give any suggestions….. thanks a great deal. Put a switch while watching router I don’t think you need to use a router to regulate two dedicated IP’s (not an easy router, at least) because the point of a router is always to route one IP to be able to multiple IPs. It can become done in a variety of ways. As mentioned, a switch would be one option, then assign the IPs towards NIC card along with bind the virtual servers on the IP address you need. In this … Continue reading
