Content Management Solutions (CMS)
Can this really work Can there be really a thing that will do everything you desire in one program Would it be worth it All depends. It depends on what you need to do. If all you have to to make is really a stupid blog, then what you need is yes, basically any CMS will conduct that. This one would be way ott for it while. If you wanted more leading-edge features, then who truly knows until they will try it It may work, but search for not. It might help a little customization (which you almost certainly can’t do high of in that one), or you could just have to create your own CMS. Whether it’s worthwhile or not highly depends on the site in question. There’s no absolute end-all, be-all CMS. Many people made a quite convincing video. But I’d personally definitely say in which PHP would create better forums plus blogs and allow for easier customization. It’s actually the best tool I consider, based on the ads… But my business is not really familiar with CMS so never have tried yet. Need to study more on that then attempt soon. It’s that’s doubtful bad by virtually … Continue reading
Design discussion: Javascript usage
Would it be just me or possibly there is really extra acceptance for the application of javascript recently I read many design blogs along with webzines and recently there’s been a tremendous number of promotion of javascript usage… particularly the jquery library. Seems like to me it wasn’t that ancient times that javascript utilization was frowned upon to a few degree since some users sometimes have it disabled. I suppose one of the keys to javascript work with is graceful degradation for people who might have this disabled. But a few of the promoted usages are definitely not accounting for in which. Since these folks who write pertaining to these blogs and such are usually leaders in our profession, should one interpret this for evolution in design acceptance like now more prevalent using 960-980 pixel sites rather than just a shorter time ago Ultimately, every designer is the reason for incorporating best practices using specific target audience in your mind, but for the intention of tracking design trends, are we finding more acceptance associated with javascript Only geeky developers that have some sort of " power trip" have Javascripting unable to function well. Then they whine about it constantly. Javascripting … Continue reading

I’m designing my first website and hoping for some advice
Hi everyone, At the time of today I am possessing a website and I only have a basic website terminology/MIS background. Someone needs a website and I said I’d personally try and guide him. At this time it is effectively a brochure. Very little e-commerce, blogs, forums, quotes, etc…… what about a " contact us" page using a form. This is the basic set-up so far; My first page will be an " animated/spinning" globe (he may be a freight forwarder) that will look similar to that; http: //www. istockphoto. com/stock-vid… ld-network. php that should include some essential company information in addition to page links. Following that you click to " enter" as well as. The subsequent pages will probably be similar to all these http: //www. genesis-forwarding. com/americas. aspxloc=ameand/or http: //www. worldclassshipping. com/ Largely the site are going to be static with text and a few images and also a goal of less being more. This initial questions tend to be; 1) Depending on my specs, should i go template powered (like a Digg! SiteBuilder or Intuit and also TemplateMonster) or set up my own/DIY Or perhaps a hybrid 2) That a template solution, almost any recommendations between Aol … Continue reading

Designing Personal Website, Need Some Examples
Heya, I want to generate a personal website that includes a photoblog, a frequent blog, and perhaps a portfolio as well as a resume too. I’ve been attempting to make this for years but I have been so hesitant (and MY PARTNER AND I still am) simply because I don’t want it to be only another boring weblog that nobody scans that clutters up the net. I also are weary of making a website that isn’t about anything… that may be just for my family to post equipment. That’s what Facebook and Twitter are generally for. But my personal goals are for you to (1) publish my personal thoughts, photos, and ideas, and (2) provide a place for potential employers to see my work (hence the portfolio and resume). And so here’s my dilemma: Does this could be seen as a bad plan… like just another pointless blog site, or could it have potential What is considered your opinion We would like some examples of websites which might be similar to this particular… I need tips for how they did it : layout and like, and what they put in place it and what they didn’t, and how they sorted … Continue reading
