Dreamweaver MX 2004: Impressive
I’ll be the 1st to admit I’m not one for " fancy" programs that aid me personally in coding. But I simply wanted to create a minute to say WOW just for this program. I’ve been applying CSS for over 5 years today and was simply just used to that WYSIWYG editors just couldn’t handle what I used to be doing. This program seemingly differnet. Patient using Dreamweaver MX, even though it has great rendering support to get tables (sometimes) CSS the item just gets murdered. DWMX04 does something I didn’t think possible: the idea rendered my web pages perfectly. WOW what an incredible tool. I also recognized they’ve fixed several issues with this CSS support. Specifically with lists. Inside DWMX, lists which were styled just bought murdered. And since my own new favorite (and correct) form of navigation is making use of unordered lists it killed all my pages. NOw it looks exactly like it should inside the browswer while sticking in my WYSIWYG manager. Way cool. I also noticed you could edit CSS styles directly with the properties panel when selecting the text you could have. Too cool to become true. I’d been utilizing EditCSS for mozilla to … Continue reading

Reading stats in AWstats
I was going through my stats affected person, as you can. I was investigating one of my favourite sections the actual " Connect to help site from". We were looking at the stats and one thing I cant come up with (and yes We have RTFM but didn’t find any benchmark to it) seemed to be what the TWO sets of numbers close to each URI suggest. For example: Can anyone enlighten me about what the numbers mean This really is bothering me. Webpages / Hits I have no idea how AWStats separates hits/pages, though. Ah hah! Cheers Brak. From the AWstats page: http: //awstats. sourceforge. net/docs/awstats_glossary. html Webpages: The amount of " pages" logged. Only files in which don’t match an entry from the NotPageList config parameter (and fit an entry connected with OnlyFiles config parameter if used) are measured as " Pages". Ordinarily pages are set-aside for HTML information or CGI data, not images nor other files requested due to loading a " Page" (like js, css… files). Hits: Any files requested from the server (including files that happen to be " Pages" ) except the ones that match the SkipFiles config parameter. How can we really have … Continue reading

multiple CSS Style Sheets question…
Hi all! So My business is trying to combine this jCarousel script in to my webpage made by this site: http: //sorgalla. com/projects/jcarousel/ I started together with my existing site after which followed the instructions on the site above and almost everything went smooth. Now I need to center the particular Carousel on this page (along by using other tweaks), but I have 4 CSS Style sheets linked to my page, 3 advisors pertain directly into the carousel (as welcomed in the download file in the website above), and the one for my page which i started with. (I am utilizing DW CS4 because My business is a noob ) I have attached my Source Code for my page to the post. To prevent it . question – the particular Javascript variable that pulls within the photos… var mycarousel_itemList = traffic: " http: //static. stumbleupon. com/66/199481236_dc98b5abb3_s. jpg", subject: " Flower1", Just how do i change the hyperlinks below it to help pull photos by my images folder, insteads of from your Flickr website Providing the images folder reaches the same level because the html file this link would be traffic: " images/picName. jpg", subject: " title". For the other, I … Continue reading

Help in designing a simple website
Hi there friends i am interested in develop a easy static website for which i’d like to know which are the steps to be taken. Below are the steps which when i took. Wanted to understand if i am for the right track or not 1) made uncomplicated html files using the content 2) saved all the html files and images in one folder in my personal desktop 3) function the html information in internet explorer i’ve not used just about any css files to make the formatting, most formatting are accomplished separately in just about every html file. Is always that the right way for formating We are facing problem together with alignment also. Please give your valuable insights for this. With thanks Those are the very basic steps. You don’t need to put everything in one folder. Maybe putting your photos for their own folder would certainly help your set up better Through the use of one CSS report, you can switch the layout on ALL pages easily by editing you file. Otherwise, when you find yourself editing every site. Also , you now need for you to upload your files into a webhost Or is this simply … Continue reading

Who’s at Fault? Designer vs Client dispute, interested in your opinions
Hello there, A recent dispute came up of which made me wonder who is really in a bad here and MY SPOUSE AND I thought who better to ask for feedback/opinions/poll than your community of colleagues here. Recently I’d some trouble obtaining the Featured Content Gallery to operate on my internet site. I hired any designer, who should remain anonymous, that said he might troubleshoot it throughout 30 mins. Superb. It worked. Then again, it seems the missing closing DIV tag made the positioning look messed way up in Internet Explorer (the diminishing text problem this others have had) as well as from about 6am Friday morning to virtually 6am Saturday morning, the site had been unviewable by IE people. This was particularly tragic as this is the one day with the year that WHEN I go all out and purchase over a multitude of dollars of newspapers advertising and 80% with my visitors had been on IE. I can let you know that I’ve lost a lot of traffic and capital on Friday which usually won’t repeat right up until next Valentines day time. Yes, total deprivation, more than total loss actually. I was working on wanting to make … Continue reading

help needed please
howdy, if you consider a site i became designing www. primeonline. ie you’ll notice the correct column is completely wrong and coming off of its template… does anyone know how to fix this please, id really thanks It looks fine if you ask me until I get started resizing the browser, I’m guessing you’re over a smaller resolution and the extremely wide internet site just won’t fit. Something in this middle column (or the column itself) have to have a set and also min width that they are reduced. Michelle’s correct. It’s your banner to the bottom of the particular page. Either move this below the about three columns or also, remove it completely (it probably isn’t doing you significantly good since it is only there regarding banner trading uses. ) your navigation has the benefit of a set position. Set it to something like this Code: left: auto; or minimize it’s current price The favicon can be a dead giveaway that it is just a joomla website, you’ll want to check your module positions this just might help you locate the error in the CSS files.
