newbie html scolling text Q

Sorry with the newbie question!… I’m trying to puzzle out how to place a layer that contains text which might be scrolled with those people little up/down scrollers. I’m very green still on the subject of code and are doing well up to this point and not jump in the deep end. I’m in the dreamweaver mx. Total novice needs some help

Mostly all I carry out is print style and design, recently I started working together with a novice programmer to redo an affiliate site. Not knowing an excessive amount of about web pattern applications I asked merely could design in illustrator after which have him plan it. Well, the positioning is up as well as it’s viewable but it isn’t searchable (in that search engines like google have nothing for you to search), which kind of defeats the reason for having a site, especially from a new client perspective. The positioning was designed throughout illustrator, then sliced upward in fireworks and exported to dreamweaver. The main problem is always that technically there’s no body text, what should read for the reason that body text is merely an image chopped up up. If anyone could give me some advice on ways to combat that, be my invited client. What Program For HTML?? Word Is Messing With Me!!!

I’ve just started to understand HTML and Formerly suffering with tinnitus using Microsoft Wordon this Mac. The problem that will I’m having is always that everytime I save it for a plain text document (. txt), as well as close the insurance coverage down, when WE reopen the file Word doesn’t present me my HTML DOCUMENT, it shows us my website!!! What’s up along with that It’s supposed to be a plain text document (Oh, so when I go to evaluate the script seems like that Word features added all the junk! ) Must i be using some other program What can everyone else use (Keeping in mind that I’m a Mac guy) Thanks a great deal of!! I need my own website HTML is strange aranoid: Someone told me Dreamweaver will work for making nice web sites, does anyone have got a copy I might borrow Macromedia offer free of charge 30 day trials for his or her software, so why dont u try it out, and if you really like it, you could buy a copy. Otherwise find a totally free WYSIWYG HTML editor on the internet. There are a lot of them Dream Weaver is very much the quickest to master and is better than most some. So go to macromedia’s site and download a trial version. Applications don’t make good sites. People create nice sites. I do think I’m nice HTML DOCUMENT is nice: basic: learn it! Truly tried usin WYSIWYG editors, but I always wind up using things like editpad lite or maybe notapad… do make an effort to learn html, it will really help! I would like to learn how to help to make websites, Design is just not too bad. I know simple concepts (most advisors are common perception anyway). Basically my own problem is together with coding. So just how do i learn My idea so far is to discover HTML more in-depth after which learn CSS. Once I know those two then i can get to know programs like dreamweaver greater.
