Question for filburt
Tips on how to deal with quite a abusive members I have this one guy at one of my forums, who keeps re-occurring to make a new mess. I’ve banned several IP and email addresses to keep him out, but he seems to recognise his way around using proxies and stuff, for model, last time he or she came and signed up through an Native indian IP address while I know for sure that he could be in U. VERTS. Any suggestions/ideas/comments on what can be achieved about it, that is if something can be achieved another board i’m on has a guy who publish unregistered as saddam. he then graduated to saddam2, and it is now on saddam3. I don’t believe the good news is way to quit him from irritating you. you could limit how much post per 5 VARIOUS minutes. So, might be all users can certainly just post A COUPLE OF messages every several minutes. and you may require registration and it will have to be confirmed from an email deal with. I don’t hesitation that you’ve by now done these suggestions from your start. you can d. o. verts (sometimes called packet) this guy once … Continue reading

Abyss Web Server – localhost?
Maybe you have noticed my submit on Abyss Web Server but today I’m having reactions to it! I mount it and just about all, run setup. exe, just exactly what I did continue time. I go configured to run PHP Scripts and also my site (2Monkey Studios) is C: \Abyss Internet Server\htdocs\2monkey. Now here’s the issue. The web node is running and turned on e. t. c. Then I go Microsoft Internet Explorer in addition to type: http: //localhost/2monkey/home. htm Now on this old server (I must uninstall my previous edition of Abyss and re-install) this will have worked, but with this one, I find page not identified. Why It has taken me a while to explain, but I am hoping you get me personally now. Please can you help. Please… I am aware this sounds instead a silly dilemma, but are you sure how the file in dilemma exists Of course, it does. C: \Abyss Web Server\htdocs\2monkey\home. htm is the directory. Does your config file point towards the folder being the ServerRoot will be C: \Abyss Internet Server\ Im leaping at straws these because I can not see any immediate issues, but an option is to try. Don’t forget … Continue reading

Access to a program through web
Here is the situation, I have software that sits throughout my office over a pc which has a public ip handle. I need the capability for various people throught everything to dial the following ip address, and run this program. However, and here is the catch, they cannot manage to download the program thus to their pc. This is a new liscenceing program of which my resellers need and therefore run but possibly not download basiclly. We have tried using remote pc help anywhere program but it is unreliable around certain areas. Any ideas Many thanks! The remote programs will be the only solution which i know of for a problem. Of training, there may be other options that I have no idea of of but I haven’t discovered anything that enables you to do what you need. I never utilize remote access programs so there could be a program which i am overlooking. My mom’s company is known for a way that they could check their contact online, but I don’t know how they make it happen.

Hosting 2 domain on 1 webserver
We have a client that may be hosting 2 names on single webserver. He has 5 static additional ip address. He would like to assign or allocate ip address with each domain. That server is at the rear of the router….. normally in establishing a webserver behind a router you recently assign static ip correct then open the required port for this server & it will eventually work. But the matter here is if you’re behind the router the webserver work but the COUPLE OF domains hosted with that server may share 1 WAN ip target….. is there just about any work around for this one I’ll thankyou if anyone may give any suggestions….. thanks a great deal. Put a switch while watching router I don’t think you need to use a router to regulate two dedicated IP’s (not an easy router, at least) because the point of a router is always to route one IP to be able to multiple IPs. It can become done in a variety of ways. As mentioned, a switch would be one option, then assign the IPs towards NIC card along with bind the virtual servers on the IP address you need. In this … Continue reading

Hosting your own site from home ?
Hello again, love the revolutionary look, very fitted. I dare say i am opening up an important can of worms here but Relating to recently found myself that has a spare PC in the home and wanted to place it to operate, it would be the perfect piece of kit to do to play around with and learn some new items so I wondered, can I use it as a webserver by using a typical Broadband connection including Comcast I’m not going to do anything too ambitous with it, just host my own ring website for family and friends but I figured it will be a great way of learning IIS (if MY SPOUSE AND I use win 2000 server) or perhaps PWS (if I stay with win2K pro). from what I recognize the problem is in Comcasts powerful IP address. for me that will host does it must be a static IP or is there a way around this. Can anyone lose some light during this and offer some advice during this project please Regards, Mitch……. You would need a static IP deal with… there are websites with that offer this. Exactly why not many people host his or … Continue reading

Web Development Space – Hosting
Hi I want to dabble even more in Web Development. I would love to potentially creat 3/4 sites. Are usually best and cheapest way I can do this Possibly there is anyone out there offering an offer on hosting 3/4 sites If so please reply and also PM me with details (i. electronic. secured server). With thanks Do you mean 3/4 TLD (top-level domains) Or maybe can it often be done via subdomains Via subdomains, you are capable of doing it on nearly all hosts. TLDs are only slightly harder, and might value a VPS whose configuration you’ll be able to play with. Ummm i basically prefer to creat 3 – 4 sites one for each person… so long while i eventually established a domain name that belongs to them and fwd that will it, im not really fussed how it’s done… Is TLD used by basically using every sub domain being a main domain you should explain more- many thanks Well, a TLD is like google. com. A subdomain is like maps. google. com. In case you could set up subdomains, then it really is easy. But it appears you can’t. Usually there are some hosts (like Site5) that … Continue reading
Website Statistics
Might anyone recommend a website that can supply traffic statistics in your site If your host has CPanel then you definately probably already include AWstats (the greatest IMO), Analog (the worst IMO because there’s way an excessive amount detaul on 1 page), and Webalizer (a classic). The host (eukhost. com) functions theLook controlpanel SEVERAL. 1 It’s got basic traffic statistics, but overall it’s quite poor. I’d like to gather more info such as cell phone browser versions, etc. Really, duh… i could just create a database myself as well as use good ol’ php! btw this was a very fast reply fil… kind regards! I remarkably recommend Pierre Far’s PHP Withstand 5. 1. The item produces AWESOME statistics, can echo again a visitor table, and is Really easy to install. Download it here. You’ll be able to view a sample in the results it makes here. (This is really a server I installed his script to test it out) You’ll be able to really customize the following counter. I set it in order that it ignores my IP address, so when WE check my web site after I redesign it, my repeated visits don’t skew this stats. (my favourite feature) … Continue reading
