But in of which site it’s in flash. I could embark on in why more air . use Flash (in that case, search engines can have trouble reading it), but also the belief that the layout is at tables means that if you prefer a " semanticly correct" web site, you need in order to totally restructure them in CSS floor plans… but at of which point it makes simple. nah, i got talking about the complete news thing, the way you rollover the small images after which it i brings upwards the big picture using the little news tidbit. I’m sorry i didnt make myself more crystal clear. They managed it in expensive… But you don’t have to do it in flash. You may possibly also do it with an iframe, … Continue reading

< gasp > (Or, What We See When We Peer Into the Past)
Dug this little gem in my look for an XHTML course I’d written on one occasion. It’s hideously funny, especially considering our stance on furniture nowadays: http: //www. prism. gatech. edu/gtg220x/tutorials/xhtmlTutTables. html Wow it’s fascinating to see what amount has changed inside only two including a half years… I only obtain a page till one particular paragraph promoting It-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named. The actual " ultimate" formatting tool. Cool. Sure, that’s all there exists. The tutorial is one I by no means finished. It just about mirrors what quite simply happened that term — namely, that we realized they *weren’t* this ultimate’ formatting tool: -P OMG!!! I didn’t realize that YOU wrote this tutorial!! I will need to have read your posting too fast or even something. Wow! That’s sooooooo weird!

LAYOUT DESIGN and colors are my weakest links
Can someone recommend me some good sites who have examples of different web page design layouts and using color schemes We’ve been to glass display cases of actual web pages, but those sites never find a way to inspire me to try and do my own point. I can’t put the pieces to your puzzle. There is a book called Array Index but I’m not likely interested in buying any books right this moment unfortunately. Bless you! Hopefully this can make my work extra streamlined. I also think that my limited variety of fonts makes my sites appearance very plain, but it’s not as important while good page design. " Good" is pretty subjective but I’ll begin the ball running and mention some our sites. http: //www. chateaudeplehaut. co. uk/ uses a technique that I’ve learned to use – use different transparancies with the same colour (an early website Used to do used two numerous shades of sharp blue (on the home screen) – next time i viewed it at another screen one particular shade looked sea green additional looked violet along with the result was terrible; since then I’ve been wary of employing different colours. ) Note how the … Continue reading

Site works fine before zipped but not after.
I’m inside a web design class and i became turning in this project i zipped any folder called snapshots included in the folder were that HTML and pictures folders, i submitted these folks and my teacher told me my links don’t work and this images didn’t appear. I checked and also she was proper, but when I open the unzipped folder everything works fine nevertheless the zipped one would not. Some one support please did you send a header to make sure the browser it was before zipped however, was this recommended by your class although it is done by some and is available for a time, its still certainly not common practice. if you need to zip the written content, the page should probably be decide to part anyway because once its unzipped it can be so data heavy it could actually crash browsers it is typically more scrolling and then most users desire. How must i send a header for the browser telling the idea, it was zipped Yes We were required to zip the idea. It’s very modest simple site for my 10th mark class. HTML folder possesses 4 pages many with one impression, 3 links along … Continue reading

Never designed a site for someone else before, don’t know what to do!
At the end of this last school year, my web page design teacher introduced my family to someone who wanted several websites created, and he didn’t mind hiring student site designers. The first web site I’m working on I have to do on my own; however, I am more of an PHP coder and am significantly better at behind-the-scenes sorts of stuff, like sources and such. We have never designed a niche site for someone where they really want a specific look. I am getting the worst time ever receiving the site to look how an client wants it to appear. He wants that to be very similar to http: //www. mmc. com, and though I’ve tried to operate really hard to acquire everything how he / she wants, I was becoming very, very unmotivated because I am not doing good and am nervous about further disappointing him. I am just not your designer. This is what Concerning for the homepage to date: http: //img29. imageshack. us/img29/4209/mhkberakgjw. png POST created the tabbed spot in jQuery by myself, as I could not find any pre-made tabs that we could successfully put into practice. He seemed quite dissatisfied with that when i … Continue reading

New Beginner…how do I get started?
Hi most, I’m wanting to purchase web design/web development. Can anyone inform me where POST should start Which in turn programming languages can i learn. Should I use wordpress I’d like to see to create nice websites, so I don’t mind setting up the work to ensure I offer excellent, quality services. Hard question. To develop sites takes experience in a lot of areas… client-side and server-side scripting. Directories, page layouts, visitor compatibility, desktop or mobile applications. You’ll be able to install a WordPress site, play about with templates, add-ons, adventures, etc. But that won’t teach you PHP/MySQL. I don’t realize how to answer it. Have a look at http: //w3schools. com it has everything to get you started around web design/development! They have step-by-step lessons on things web, and start on the basics! In case you are just starting, I would recommend you learn & first!! These two certainly are a must to find out, and you will need to understand these that will help you understand other internet languages. No skepticism, you will employ these two throughout every web project you are doing! is really a ‘markup’ language, it tags many of the content of your blog (ie. … Continue reading
