Stretching a page ??….
Hy, We are very new to this forum, and I am hoping to get a few help here (-: I was wondering how I can make an integral part of a page " stretch" in order that the whole height of that page is loaded. Therefore, I have a layout of hospitality attire table, 600 pix wider and 550 pix heigh; I now want we have an integral part of my page below that table is actually " stretched" in order that the whole levels is filled. The next table below should fill up the page making sure that the exact height to the page is reached. (that should work in a number of resolution, 1024, 1152, 1260,…. ) May this be done Thank’s Renzo Im not exactly sure what you indicate, whether you would like the table in order to stretch, or whatever was in the table in order to stretch. If it’s the table you need, you simply have to change the height/width parameters to 100% rather then an absolute value. I feel he means making use of percentages too however yeah im quite lost if you’d like percentages then the particular code should appear like this < … Continue reading

How would I lay this design out onto html?
I’m having difficulties on the place to start cutting this format I designed with photoshop. I are interested to take 100% with the web browser look at, regardless if consumers are viewing in 800×600 or 1024×768. I designed it 750×600 now I can’t figure out how to cut it and also lay it out there, specially with that mascot(the shroom like character about the right side with the image). If anyone right here has time that will me out We would highly appreciate the idea. Thanks ahead of time! You incorporate the use of tables that span percentages with the page, and make the actual borders/gradients a bg image of your respective cells. On huge resolutions however, the page may look too spread out due to loss of content. Don’t have learned to that exactly, I’m a poor html writer. I’ll try to search for some tutorial during this, If anyone recognize any, please i want to know. Thank you for replying. I simply threw this together, theres still alot of work to perform and its nevertheless fairly complicated however it does what you deserve. put your info from the < div> tags as well as the < td> tags … Continue reading

Are more specific. What do you think your dilemma is howdy, the problem is whenever you resize the eye-port. the top table will be a lot wider… the grey desk directly below it really is completely off along with the content table seems to your workplace perfectly… i would like to find how to make all the particular tables function effectively when resizing the browser window. i am not sure if the only way in achieving this is put all tables in just a table or not… plus this is likely to make … Continue reading

page layout in photoshop
My organization is almost ready to start re-constructing www. thomasinamusic. com. In case you have not read the previous posts……. I’d prefer a static pic of Thomasina located or sitting for the right side of the screen while this content loads on the left side (and your pic and backdrop remain static by way of chaning links). I can begin laying out there the elements within photoshop, and then cut them up in imageready to start coding. My question is……. To possess my content always remain within the same location (a. k. a. Thomasina’s pic can be at the quite right edge on the browser window, whether minimized or maybe maximized or whatsoever screen resolution could be used) I am assuming I need to use percentages as an alternative to pixel values whenever positioning. Am I correct during this Also…….. when creating the elements inside photoshop, what size canvas will i need to work with (or is best) When always, thanks to everyone thus to their input. As much information and often give will often be greatly appreciated. To have Thomasina’s picture for the right side of the screen, you will use DIV positioning, something down the lines of: HTML: … Continue reading
Photoshop to Dreamweaver
Hello there, I will be currently trying to complete a site, Concerning completed it with Photoshop 7 sliced the image ” up ” and opened the item in Dreamweaver MX good edited it bob’s your current uncle. As well as layout is a normal logo banner using a links nav box on left and main content common box in middle My problem is when content starts to stretch the chief content box it distorts the rest of the images, I thought it absolutely was a simple event of setting this sliced image with a background image although No hehe ANy help could well be greatly appreciated TIA, DOHBOY If you work with percentages for every little thing, that would the be the issue. You have bitmap photographs. They aren’t like vectors and so are not going to magically bode well stretched. To keep this problem from happening, you should have the images of you nave set with a fixed width along with height. I hope you comprehend what I’m clearing up. I’m basically conserving it once Truly sliced it as well as opening it up straightaway in Dreamweaver Concerning the box broken up into the main area including a left, … Continue reading

how?
hi there all, i know someone must know the trick using this type of, i’ve placed a over the top on my discussion board & wondered how i could get it to change towards correct size once the resolution/screen size will be changed, possibly there is some coding for example, thankyou very much for any aid use percentages rather than fixed width. without seeing that code or exactly what the page seems as if, i can’t say considerably more Your banner may perhaps be a. gif image The image size is literally fixed. You can facility the image in the table cell (or you could be using css). Make the background exactly the same color as the color in the graphic. It will like appear that the actual image is switching size, when in fact, it’s only that background changing size. This table size (width=90%) will actually stretch to help always display in 90% on the browser window… this image remains focused. Karinne is definitely right… we need to visit a link for a webpage to definitely help.

Screen Resolutions
Concerning been browsing around trying to see surveys about precisely what screen resolution is the most used. But most of the surveys are often 2003 or 2004. What resolution would you think I should make a website, 800 simply by 600 or 1024 by means of 768 1024 times 768. It will be most common resolution. I think all over 25% of users browse in 900 x 600 as well as about 65% employ 1024 x 768. Nevertheless, it would possibly be best to target good usability through all resolutions, even approximately 1280 x 1024! It really is determined by what the site is perfect for also. I’m sure you can find threads around the forum relating to this topic that one could search for, thus I won’t fancy. It’s tempting to be able to drop 800 x 600 but I wouldn’t get it done quite yet as world wide there are however a fair lots of people still utilizing it. I reckon after some duration should see it all but gone yet by then we might need to placed more consideration directly into portable devices than we do at this point. You really can design for many resolutions. Instead … Continue reading

Relative Sizes
Definitely everyone, I need some help the design of an online site. I’m attempting to create the site as accessible as you possibly can by using just about all relative sizes (as in opposition to absolute sizes) and have encountered a dilemma. I’m using Dreamweaver MX 2004 which has a table and when i insert images i always have made to the table, the table expands to fulfill the images’ original sizes instead of scaling the image to suit the page. That images stay assessed in absolute rank, and when I go and aim to change their widths in order to percentages, the website gets messed ” up “. Does anyone get any advice the point of an fluid layout isn’t not to lose the proportions. That’s among it’s major weak points. If you desire control, use preset. If you really don’t mind that text shall be too long in order to read comfortably, and there will be different proportions intended for different screen measurements, use fluid. Here’s a fascinating article on the problem: http: //www. 456bereastreet. com/archive/200504/fixed_or_fluid_width_elastic/ So far as I know, there is no way to make image sizes family member. A typical fluid layout won’t try to … Continue reading
