I personally think my site sucks. Here’s why…….
Homepage http: //www. shelby-sheriff. org/index. html Please get easy on me personally. I’m a complete novice when it comes to design. I do need to become an qualified some day. Let me try to retain this short. Firstly, I have any desktop support track record. Of course, my supervisors felt it will be a great idea to become the web designer after your partner left. So they sent me to some DWCS3, HTML, plus CSS classes. Naturally, that was plenty to digest. I was granted the undertaking of finishing the newest site for some of our Sheriff’s Dept. which was left undone. That was about Five months ago and still there is no site ready for any public. Keep in your mind I haven’t also been given any advice about this. I’ve basiclly been told to figure it out. Supervisors view it to be resourceful. I perspective it as unrealistic. Anyway, after first completion, the managers hated the form. I only finished what the last designer had started off. Mainly because POST still didn’t know enough about web design to make a whole overhaul without screwing ” up ” something. The CSS has become the steepest learning curve to me. … Continue reading

Now I know we are on CS4 type of Flash that is like 4 variations on from MX 2005, I just wanted to ask is at this time there any point applying these books as a way of learning Flash to be a beginner or regarded as a just put them through to ebay……. Also I need to to discuss, at what issue does learning material for some software or some sort of scripting language become obsolete as well as being there any research use for good old versions of manuals, books and lessons. With thanks Guys and Gals realy, CSS-3 is on its way with animations on the rescue. that coupled with php covers intractive design and style. and flash video is an overkill since mp4 can be used far more libaraly. i dont discover a nitch with regard to MS or adobe inside near future. all of these options prsented insert faster and develop linux (on the particular rise). oh and i could build mp4 from … Continue reading

We have dabbled in HTML previously and I’ve played with a good number of content management systems for example wordpress, joomla, e107, including a few more. I’d prefer to step up my web page design skills and stop determined by CMS for every one of my sites. What I’d love to build is a site a lot like this one. http: //www. thefatlute. com I think a niche site like this would be great practice, pretty simple design in addition to incorporates a data source. Can anyone tell me the most effective way to start something like this Actually if any person could help us out with making a basic database along with being able to raise it and question it using the html or php page I believe I could figure the rest out with sample and error. Looks like some sort of ASP scripting… some sort of CMS of several kind. Consequently, their site is actually ASP. net scripting probably with a Windows Server. To build something like that from scratch would have been a tremendous project. Google has a pile of tutorials for MySQL as well as PHP together. Good luck… you’ll be hectic for months. thoughts on which cms for me to use
i haven’t created a site using any CMS instrument before, but i’m quite enthusiastic about learning one… i’ve worked with creating static html/css sites and a pinch of php, but creating from scratch similar to this (and maintaining) might be time consuming! i’m planning to start working on the tag/touch rugby web page… the main goal to the site is to display details about game schedules, activity results, and alternative related upcoming sports events the site will enable organizers to update game schedules and news (Which will most likely be in top page) there is possibly a likely possibility that an extension might be added for a web Community Discussion Mother board (Forum) currently i’m looking during WordPress (Which i do believe is the easiest to learn – and will surely have some powerfull features/plugins devoid of overdoing things) can some 1 make some suggestions on suggestion during this thanks in improve… anyhow, i’ve created a fairly easy layout for a start http: //www. centraltag. co. nz Confused I’d consider Blogger a CMS… To get looked at Drupal Wordpress may not need been initially designed to become a CMS, but it’s most certainly becoming popular to use it mutually. I’ve … Continue reading

website question
Make sure you excuse my ignorance as We are relatively new to be able to development. My question is that this: I created an internet site . using Yahoo SiteBuilder. Is there any way feasible to convert this specific static site to be able to css without originating in scratch Any suggestion will probably be greatly appreciated. Many thanks: -/ No there’s not… But maybe you’re not sure what CSS is A static website can use CSS. CSS (Cascade Form Sheets) is the use of tags and homes to define the planning and layout belonging to the pages, within CODE. A page that is not static (dynamic), would be a page that purposes server-side scripting, such as PHP to dynamically modify content, automatically… in contrast to, your static web site would require you edit it manually everytime content changes. I think you aren’t sure about static and also dynamic website along with CSS also books cant convert your webblog static to vibrant using CSS for the reason that CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) a formatting tool you should utilize CSS in static web page also. I think it’s not possible necessary for you to convert your website, because with the help … Continue reading

Hotel online booking – reservations
Howdy everyone and thanks in advance for your assist! A client asked me for making a website intended for his small hotel, where the visitors will be able to book their rooms and pay via charge card (paypal etc). How such a niche site works What do I should do Do I have any particular cms other things Everything from scratch. I have no clue in the least!: -\ This can be a pretty big challenge for someone which has no programming knowledge. I suggest you engage a programmer to accomplish the coding. You may also find a pre-made PHP/MySQL course for " hotel room booking". This is also something to get integrated with your hotel " prominent desk", as someone could possibly be booking a area online, using the product, or dropping by face-to-face. A hotel owner, clerk, or anything else. would need to be able to close a room if it turned out booked, so nobody can book this online… and it has to be done in AUTHENTIC TIME. Double-booking a space, or over-booking would be a disaster. This is an excellent place to start looking for more information: http: //www. yahoo and google. com/searchq=php hotel making your … Continue reading

iPhone compatibility – image slice site
I made an easy RSVP site for just a client, intended to be used as a web-based RSVP to a new Bat Mitzvah. Samara is usually Awesome As well as is basically an image which i sliced in illustrator. It appears to get OK in Safari/IE/Firefox. Nevertheless, if any of you will have an iPhone you will see that the picture breaks apart. Concerning no experience having optimizing for cellular. Any advice could well be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil Works fine on the iPhone – 3GS along with iOS 4. modify > scratch that, some scrolling around the iphone broke it. Even on some sort of desktop browser there is an odd layer overlap effect on the right side It doesn’t seem to help much with any kind of scalable or substance layout. To see spinning program so well, slowly start minimizing the width with the browser window, and at a certain point the suitable side breaks and it also looks like you will discover 2 layers while using same crayons/calendar video. Is there any duplicate layer having a higher z-index You could potentially really simplify stuff by just setting up a large image of the board as the particular … Continue reading
