Multiple Language Website – How?

Hello all, I’m assembling a website within (I think) related to 7 languages. So I presume I build one website after which it make 7 copies of it as well as translate the text following that…. Would that end up being right Seems a tad long winded so I thought right now there might be a healthier way – can any individual offer any suggestions Or am I spot on throughout my assumption Thanks heaps ahead! Neil : ichatnervous: It really will depend on your website. When you’ve got a site which displays dynamic content (such to be a blog, articles, etc), content is already stored in any database. That content is stored in various directories as their own language. Cookies how the user has picked out will determine which in turn language to show… the scripts draw that content through the appropriate directory. I would go for a " template" type site the place that the base look is fixed, plus the subject material is pulled via various directories. Users select their language choice and that decision is saved being a cookie so they see a similar language when they come back later. It’s all about using PHP in … Continue reading

Curious about something

i was curious all the sites you see out there offering website that anyone make and handle yourself. Are they employing a program or a new script or some sort of CMS Homestead. com for example what’s it actually using and how is he or she making it hence simple that actually someone who knows nothing about website design can make along with maintain there own website Sure, it’s called CMS (content supervision system), but it actually can go a tad further than that will. They might include some WYSIWYG editors that allow a user to insert quite a few HTML stuff, with no knowing HTML. That falls right different class than plain text content editing. So make website and managing content are definitely two different items. You’ll have to decide the amount of control the end-user features over their internet site. Next, the idea regarding hosting other peoples’ websites may be a whole different theme. okay well what we need is this and maybe there is some sort of program out there in this way. I already host many peoples websites what we need is something which is more like a WYSIWYG to the user when they sign in … Continue reading

Which CMS is right for me?

Hello there, I favor to design my sites in HTML PAGE and CSS. I want my clients every single child just add websites and edit wording. Practically nothing Fancy. Cushy CMS will last editing text but lacks the ability of adding pages. Can someone propose a CMS is is super easy to implement towards already designed Html sites Thanks What would you mean by adding pages You truly don’t add web pages… you add written content. This website (Web Design Forums) is a good example. Every single pages you’re viewing whenever you navigate around is just not a " brand new page". It’s one script of which changes content using PHP along with a MySQL database. While you add a fresh post, like anyone did, a new page was not added. Thus describe what an individual mean by " including new pages". Sure Max, I think Joomla! and Drupal let the client actually add webpages. Surreal CMS is a lot like Cushy on steroids. There are extra features and you can create new web pages (by cloning). Should be personal computer online world. SurrealCMS. com Related to that helps a tad.

Using Dreamweaver MX should I upgrade?

With the last several years We’ve been using dreamweaver MX. But lately more people are asking me to style websites for these people or help preserve their sites. Will Dreamweaver CS5 benefit cross browser if it is compatible testing than MX does My business is also getting more into using CSS now besides tables. It really varies according to how much you recognize about HTML and also CSS, if anyone dont really realize code standards, I would recommend you upgrade. The later variants of DreamWeaver will support code snippets plus hints more based on today’s code benchmarks (such as xHTML4 in addition to CSS3). That technique, when DreamWeaver facilitates with coding, it will be using up-to-date specifications, and not old standards which can be now becoming deprecated. Thanks that tends to make perfect since what you said. I am so glade I did this posting our code. I am embarassed but glade. I have never made numerous errors in a small amount of code before. I should say yes I have but when just beginning learining something. But I guess CSS can be a new way to build website compared to tables. I am actually likely to redesign this page … Continue reading

I’ve been majoring within graphic design for about per annum now and I took an internet design class that had related to only using codes instead of with Photoshop. I recently got employment helping this firm re-design their site. The previous developer quit and the actual boss offered me personally this awesome possibility – I told him I didn’t have very much web designing knowledge. So for a tad bit more then a week I have been working presently there, creating this style and design: I recognize the images used may not be that great within quality. That is because I had been just using what the previous web designer was using the services of and I get way better pics in the future. I also applied 2 different sans serif fonts. Oh yeah, the " Find us in action" box might be an embedded myspace video. My organization is looking for a few criticism/advice/suggestions, what people like/don’t like or anything else.
