Newbie looking for advice

All right, I am looking to learn how to make my own website page. I learned plus was using Time period Web but it’s leaving plenty to be wanted. So, I picked up Web Designer’s Reference by Craig Grannell. It had been billed as some sort of " Integrated Method to Web Design along with XHTML and CSS. needing help and advice for my new joomla site

Good day. I have hired someone to look at my 10 12 months online magazine, designed in html in addition to change it up to a joomla site. We are afraid I made a tremendous mistake and My business is thinking about dropping the entire project, which includes cost me allot of money and time. The project has been a nightmare because anytime I ask for what I had accepted as simple requests, my designer also say’s he can’t exercise. Or that when he makes a straightforward change, it side effects other components this then don’t do the job and he complains of which he has must spend hours with it. I’m talking about things like contributing an image close to my optin field, adjusting th background coloring, or deciding people don’t need to register to understand the articles, only to pay attention to our audio library. The issue is, I have no idea if it will be the fault of the designer or if this can be just normal complications for joomla web-designers. Novice Question: How to create page with dynamic elements, ie: menu’s & pagelets..

Heya guys, I just now found your forum and I do think it’s great! I’ve learned a whole lot already. I have recently been a webmaster for numerous years, very novice although – and will have been using just HTML plus much more recently CSS. I’ve had some encounter with frames/iframes, tables all that will stuff and am prepared to learn more… I maintain one or two websites currently (all amateurish) and I have been asked to create another one… with this new one I’d like to take an alternative approach. One of the pet peeves with each one of my current websites is when we have a menu change or perhaps something similar (ie: add a different image to the header, new link inside footer, navigation pub, etc… ) I must manually update each and every page… Most websites I see now take over dynamic elements (I think these are similar to pagelets) – (for example, http: //news. bbc. corp. uk/) I’m sure they don’t specify their links in every page and also the little box that says most in-demand stories…, but somehow call up these links on the page.. this is what I would like to learn how … Continue reading →

Overflow Text Question

On the website I just recently established Im having issues with the text overflowing while i look at it with a laptop. I place the website together inside Dreamweaver. When I examine the website over a laptop the text paragraphs encounter each other and over main part with the website. Also, the text is usually unusually large on the laptop. Need help with large format Audio!!

Need to add 36 audio tracks files to my website to include 1 min to 1 hr SEVERAL min. Not sure the way to go about working. Embedding, linking externally…. when i dont know. Any help can be great.
