Pros and cons of one file web sites

i used to be wondering what xp others had having one file sites if any as well as what they think of such. i myself that it, though the danger may out excess fat the return. The scale of error whether a file corrupts Search occasion when editing requires a lot more specific naming regarding elements Less files to advance when importing along with exporting Easy to back up Can work with php to populate iframes via same location Opening one record to edit instead of multiples now well then , i’ll say i forgot thought about a backup every time a router glitch price me half of the script and for the second i consider my heart ceased beating. 2, ONE HUNDRED lines. backup back-up backup. Just what one-file website Do you mean a site where there is only " catalog. php" and everything is actually generated within implementing scripting I just recently did a 1 site webpage (click here) It’s just a very small site for the very small internet business (sole trader). He just wanted a super easy site with not an excessive amount content, but did want coursesmart divided up towards ‘pages’. Well MY PARTNER AND … Continue reading

Basic "How to" for ul nav

I know this should be inside tutorial section but there are a number cobwebs in that portion of the forum! I just were going to post a uncovered bones navigation together with hover effect for those who don’t know how. I see plenty of navbars that have excessively much code for what they are doing. So this can be pretty srtipped down and can be enhanced, but it really doesn’t need a lot else. Notice how little markup is necessary to render this specific, not very a lot css either. Just copy and paste this whole code in the blank doc. Watch Example Code: <! DOCTYPE html page PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML ONE PARTICULAR. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" > < html page xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" > < head> < meta http-equiv=" Content-Type" content=" text/html; charset=utf-8" /> < title> Untitled Document< /title> < design type=" text/css" > #navbar background-color: #663399; /* #navbar div is often a wrapper for this ul list*/ height: 30px; #navbar ul border: 0; /* Changing that margin here will require changing the #navbar height to build with the ul*/ #navbar li drift: left; /* This will likely put the li’s in … Continue reading

sitegrinder

Provides anyone used sitegrinder for you to program their website from photoshop Looking for a few feedback on easy use, and the time you can select flash like outcomes and such. Many thanks I in person hate anything far more WYSIWYG than Dreamweaver. post second that nevertheless further. learn the actual code bro. many thanks Breezy, useful advice. It is definitely. Anyone in this business who will be serious about what they are doing will tell that you learn the languages in order to make real web pages. Until somebody codes a WYSIWYG that may clean up after itself and make use of compliant tags, which to the very best of my knowledge is far away off, you’re simply shooting yourself inside the foot using those — even when it’s for zero other reason than the fact that search engines DETEST messy code.: spectacles: I’m not just a programmer, nor am I thinking about becoming one. I guess Sitegrinder is some people will need a basic, low cost answer. I was just keen on feedback one means or another… so thanks. HTML PAGE and CSS aren’t " code", per se. They’re markup languages. Products are series’ associated with commands that … Continue reading

Inserting a SWF (Flash) file w/o it being blocked in users browser

I’ve a simple little interactive flash record (game of sorts) that I’ve put into it’s own website selectable from one of my sub-menus. The issue I’m having with by using flash file, at the very least with my personal browser (IE7) along with it’s standard reliability settings, is that when i access that connection to the webpage using the flash file, I have the yellow bar dropping down in the top of the browser (" IE provides restricted this internet site from running pieces of software or active BACK BUTTON controls – press her for options" ) Then Need to right click in that yellow club, select allow articles, then answer of course in pop-up in which again warms me about " this content. " This content is correctly safe, which I would be willing to certify (if that may be something I can certainly do). I wish this content to get displayed to the users, without them requiring you to jump through hoops to get to it OR be nervous concerning the nature or safety on the content. Any work-arounds in this I don’t recall requiring you to perform this purpose on other websites that are displaying flash articles, … Continue reading
