help with rollover img nav buttons and css
i’ve created some rollover nav buttons from image slices and area maps in Fireworks. they work fine on the html created. but i’m designing the site with css, and after cutting and pasting the javascript, stand, and maps towards an html page linking on the css….. they never work!! actually, apart from even show upwards, big ol reddish colored X’s!! i’ve double looked at my coding to ensure the onmouseover and all are pointing towards right files in the right directories, but still no fortune. any kind of suggestions the txt file could be the css page You might want to upload the images into a host. At present you are associating to them on you hard drive, It’s my opinion. This is the once on the locations when I looked inside the properties: file: ///C: /DOCUME1/MIKE/LOCALS1/TEMP/solversoff8_r2_c1. gif it doesn’t matter, you implement your own hard disk as a screening server, works the right way for everything other than them. i can preview our html linking to css to the same computer, and i could preview html made by fireworks regarding my navigation rollovers……, but i don’t realize how to code rollover graphics properly to work with a stylesheet. seems … Continue reading

I’m New And Looking For Advice…
Howdy Everyone, I want to create good quality website for average joe (preferably flash), but I’m only starting out so I was hoping that an individual could offer way up some advice using a good starting point (a good route to approach this, good books, useful data, tutorials, etc. ). I have a new photography degree so Relating to a good tackle on design in addition to understanding most with the staple graphics packages (photoshop, illustrator, a certain amount of flash, etc. )… in the event that helps. I’d really treasure any guidance you can give. Thanks earlier! If you’re only starting out, don’t use Pen. That’s the best advice Allow me to give. If you’re only starting out, you won’t have the ability to make a level of quality Flash site. You’ll want to learn quality site design when using the basic design resources – (X)HTML, CSS, and maybe several JavaScript – before you decide to get into the particular " bells in addition to whistles" stuff. You will discover an (X)HTML ebook anywhere, or you can learn it on the net from here: http: //www. w3schools. com/ html is definetly your best bet as mentioned previously also you … Continue reading

What should I do with this layout?
I’ve had this format for nearly annually now. I enjoy it, and once i pulled it out today I realized how awesome it can be. Problem is, the content the item currently has was to get a site that will definately have a different name/purpose/etc. The look just didn’t fit the purpose And so, what do people think a layout like that should do What type of site do you feel it being Now i’m tempted to just allow it to be a blog design and style and give the item away to anyone… that’s my idea atm. Any thoughts http: //staging. neathdesign. com/whatever. gif I might say a cool and happening organization, like a startup technology firm. Suppose you transform your titles within the left to: " What the heck is Linux", " Free Download", " Understand how To" (keep it the way it is! ), " Help Forum". You get my drift. Not surprisingly, it can sign up for more than merely a linux company, but since this is very topical at this point, I thought to use it to illustrate. You can even keep your MySQL error Really cool design, by how! What regarding a travel provider … Continue reading

What I’d like to do now is contain the links to other sites which are displayed in a table around the left of the particular page pulled in from your database also. Displaying the link (say internet. imdb. com) is no problem but learn how to get the connect to work I include created a table when using the fields ID Type (numerical to seperate state film links out of humour links) Link (The text they’re going to see, say for IMDB it’ll say ‘Movie Database’) URL (This could be the actual code.. which may be < A HREF=" http: //www. imdb. com" > < FONT size=" 1" face=" Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" > Video database< /font> < /A> < BR> can the URL arena tie in because the code for your page Thanks in advance, Mitch….

New Site design plus a few questions
Hello everyone, I am your photographer and recently built an affiliate site with FP2003. I really didnt like the way in which it turned out but Thought about to get anything up while MY SPOUSE AND I built something improved. So I put down out what I’d prefer my new site to look like and got Dreamweaver to apply to publish the website. Please take a glance at my layout and offer any feedback you’ve. Also any suggestions spend money on how to issue my idea a lot of effectively. From what I am aware of I could make use of photoshop CS completely or use dreamweaver. I lean towards DW to create updates etc. quicker and much more efficient. However We have never used DW, Only got it now, so dont know only have the skill to transform my own layout from photoshop CS right into a living breathing web page. Any advice or methods for accomplishing this may be great! Listed here is a peak at my design to date: Thanks earlier, really look forward to becoming the new site installed and operating! Tabb.

RSS feed? need help
http: //bizsms. tgisms. com I’m publishing RSS feeds for this site. But the feeds dont are most often working. Bloglines. com cannot find them. Firefox discover them, but says " Live bookmark feed failed to load" Can someone please check it out for me With thanks Seems to get something about a person’s auto-detect. Your file format looks good, and follows spec – such as go here and you will probably see bloglines can find the feed excellent. It’s my opinion your link tags are the culprit. Check out my verizon prepaid phone: Code: < link rel=" alternate" type=" application/rss+xml" title=" RSS 2. 0" href=" http: //www. warpspire. com/wp-rss2. php" /> It’s got a different type and also, remember to nearby your tags ( /> ) Try that out and examine if it solves it Howdy Brak, Thanks for your help. I shut the tag, and also changed my kind from " application+xml" in order to " application/rss+xml" So that they now work.: common: Shot for your help.

kill fee for large website?
I’ve designed and maintained a website for a very popular good ole’ n’ roll wrist band for about 6TH years. They became successful and weren’t when I going the designing. (they were inside top 10 for many months in 2000-2001). Now they want to gain me to surrender the passwords and such for your site for another person to work on it and take it all away by me. (They have already the passwords for your domain name, but is not the hosting along with such). I think I deserve some kind of kill fee… probably $10, 000 (remember, they’re millionaires). I have never had any sort of contract with these, but I are actually paid regularly without any problems as any conditional employee and also have paid taxes on my earnings. Exactly what does everyone think What can i do Any help could be appreciated. Thanks. It can be terribly unethical. It’s ideas that adheres to that that give webmasters careless name. Quite simply, you want for you to extort them books have information that is definitely legally theirs, but you’d like to claim it is yours. I don’t even think so – I had a similiar scenario that … Continue reading

Shopping cart webiste design..?!??!
hello there experts.. we’ve given an work on shopping carry website.. i’m just confused on learning to make the website glance pro and user- pleasant… i dunno in making the site inot structures or tables what type is better.. then made from combination is an additional prob.. is it ok only used dark blue and orange and also brown.. Don’t double post. Likewise, avoid frames if it is going to be something qualified. Frams are for new webdesigners and those with little time books dont need to change lets claim the links to the table of contents and if you have a big site its much healthier but not with regard to other. i recently manufactured a frame site for any robotics competion and we came upwards in like Tenth place or a thing (only 20 people today in competion) im almost sure in case we made the same site but without frames may well have placed no less than 5th.
