I’m currently developing an online site for a Student Accommodation. It’s perfect upon all browsers aside from IE5 and it has to be perfect on IE5 for your customer cos jane is using the IE5 Web browser. Inserting a SWF (Flash) file w/o it being blocked in users browser

I’ve a simple little interactive flash record (game of sorts) that I’ve put into it’s own website selectable from one of my sub-menus. The issue I’m having with by using flash file, at the very least with my personal browser (IE7) along with it’s standard reliability settings, is that when i access that connection to the webpage using the flash file, I have the yellow bar dropping down in the top of the browser (" IE provides restricted this internet site from running pieces of software or active BACK BUTTON controls – press her for options" ) Then Need to right click in that yellow club, select allow articles, then answer of course in pop-up in which again warms me about " this content. " This content is correctly safe, which I would be willing to certify (if that may be something I can certainly do). advice on gifs please?

Hi there. would like to work with gif for a website I am working away at but the shadows or gradients emerge flat & nasty. I’m for example, making a button in illustrator along with using drop darkness. I’ve it set for best quality & for many of the colors available. Could anyone suggest easy methods to solve this problem With thanks Don’t work with a gif for gradients, shadows, or perhaps photographs, Save it for a jpg. But I need to the transparency. that was the real reason for the gif. You need to use PNG, but for IE5, SIX (and 7), you must use a hack to repair their PNG problem. – doesn’t that drastically improve the file size I’ve the same difficulty with transparent gifs. I’m afraid I just now now do not forget the limitations while designing and do not incorporate shadows etc plainly know it’ll mean a see-thorugh gif. jpg seems to be OK. Only work with the original png’s with all the current extra info throughout them. You still have to export them for a web png. I’ve noticed microscopic size increases when using PNG. ..should i just outsource these ie7 fixes??

howdy everyone im not actually gonna out source the following XD but i maybe need to do a lot connected with fixes or maybe a very few. a niche site im working at works fine about ie8, but ie7 is pretty much screwed when you click on a subpage you will start to see the many broken parts. this can be for quite a huge client and the actual deadline is friday. usually ill code so i dont have to do ie7 fixes, so im a little lost with regards to estimating how long most of these fixes will take, whether they will require any large degree of recoding etc.. in the event anyone knows, could someone yes some insight towards what they think this will likely take and the time (The deadline for many this is next week) so that i can attempt to manage work accordingly Certainly if any one can possibly see any obvious fixes well then , i’ll know!!
