Do visitors generally care if you log things like screen resolution?

I just wrote some signal that basically brings some JavaScript right after the body tag of the page that creates a new cookie with this user’s screen res, so I will find out the typical screen resolution pertaining to my visitors. The JavaScript is due to plain view, and the candy bar isn’t obfuscated at all. My question can be will this likely bother anybody I suspect that you will discover privacy nazis on the market, and I’m wondering only should worry in relation to them. This website does get plenty of hits. Absolutely no. Very good put transio. Certainly, there are this conspiracy theorists around who will think you are up to something, but I doubt you’ll even run around them. But res needs to be low even with their list. Thanks on your replies. Even though I can’t picture someone actually care, my dad is actually a privacy nazi. Being based on one, I instictively become more aware of them when WHEN I do things. He probably even now has JavaScript switched off and his visitor alerting him for each cookie, and he loves the modern Vista features this ask permission before you decide to do almost anything … Continue reading

Design discussion: Javascript usage

Would it be just me or possibly there is really extra acceptance for the application of javascript recently I read many design blogs along with webzines and recently there’s been a tremendous number of promotion of javascript usage… particularly the jquery library. Seems like to me it wasn’t that ancient times that javascript utilization was frowned upon to a few degree since some users sometimes have it disabled. I suppose one of the keys to javascript work with is graceful degradation for people who might have this disabled. But a few of the promoted usages are definitely not accounting for in which. Since these folks who write pertaining to these blogs and such are usually leaders in our profession, should one interpret this for evolution in design acceptance like now more prevalent using 960-980 pixel sites rather than just a shorter time ago Ultimately, every designer is the reason for incorporating best practices using specific target audience in your mind, but for the intention of tracking design trends, are we finding more acceptance associated with javascript Only geeky developers that have some sort of " power trip" have Javascripting unable to function well. Then they whine about it constantly. Javascripting … Continue reading

http: //www. bulova. com/ What program must be used to create these neat interactive slides such as site above Thanks all… again! Aza Seems like a simple JavaScript. You’ll find the source while in the code of coursesmart. Just copy and paste Could it be that simple, or can there be more to the idea Yes the good news is lot more to be able to it. If you want t make something like that yourself. It is best to don’t. Is not that hard to attain but you need to have a strong Javascript skill. There are several cool pre-written JS on line, that helps you decide to do something pretty same. Google it, " Javascript photograph slideshow". But subsequently, it still isn’t an effective copy/paste. If you really want to dig heavy into it and discover ways to make something like this yourself. I suggest a person try the Yahoo Graphical user interface library. It makes it possible make Js influences like sliding, driving, fading and running your layout. However, that’s a lot more advance. As a final point, do use Expensive. It’s not that hard to find out.

JQuery Importance

To begin with, this was going in the form of reply to a new post by Novakin around my post requiring help for a small company web design, but I decided I need to the opinion of the masses. Novakin, thanks a lot. I decided to have a look at JQuery, and I’ve a question. I understand it is similar to CSS in the actual sense that CSS could manipulate the types externally, as JQuery might manipulate the Is the fact a correct assessment Having CSS, I have been teaching myself to be able to code in a great external style page, instead of in house or inline. In actual fact, I’ve been executing almost 100% of the styling from this external style page. Now, I have got a question… Is this just how I want to learn JQuery, and is actually JQuery as PREVALANT and important as CSS with web designing now WE haven’t started producing any javascript yet, but that was about to be my upcoming step. After examining Novakin’s comments, I feel just like I need to focus on JQuery next. Can i feel this method Javascript is virtually as important as CSS in loads of web … Continue reading
