Organization and Visual Help.

Hey men, so here could be the deal. I’ve had the website for almost a year now. When i relocated away for college i types of neglected it, but ever since i’m back house, i’ve got plenty of time to put on it. Originally, pondered a friend layout my layout to do (mostly because i had been lazy). My website is good for tutorials on steps to make sims 2 mods. I’ve still got plenty of content to placed, but I relatively wait until the better organized. So here come the issues. I personally don’t like the current design. I was pondering something bigger, in addition to a small page going down the middle of the browser. I think she made the room so small, and also the fonts. I had a survey a time back and lots of people said that it turned out difficult to find things. Now, I strive to be the one to design my own web page. I know ample XHTML and CSS for you to hand code it myself, but i just dont know how i’d like it to seem! It’s frustrating for the reason that i’ve had 2 years of graphic design teaching, … Continue reading

Help; Trying to design a cooking website

My business is trying to style and design a cooking website (although My business is a newbie during this). I was wondering if there is a template or even a " widget" that will help you do something in this way: Materials (in bold) product or service here product or service here product or service here plus much more spaces if needed Instructions (bold) information here Baking times (bold) information here As well, a place to be able to insert a photo in the top. Then it creates something that looks akin to a recipe card and then inserts on a web site page. Can there be a program available that does this or a template – does any one know You first find or produce a " blank" recipe card as an image (. gif. jpg or. png). Something similar to these: http: //images. the search engines. com/imagessvnum=10& um=1& hl=en& q=recipe card& btnG=Search Images In that case, it’s a issue of using CSS type sheets to formatting the layout of each one card, and PHP to dynamically produce a card from a new link. This technique, you may not have to produce a unique page for each card… they … Continue reading

Mentally Stuck, ideas?

Hello there, Concerning been working on the design in Photoshop and I am mentally stuck. I will be wondering if anybody has ideas that can help get myself moving. Exclusively, I am unclear how to type containers for this actual content. Concerning my header in addition to main navigation done on the top. Attached is an image of my mockup thus far. Any suggestions Regards for your period. Regards, Chris K. You break each of those buttons towards separate images (. gif as well as. png). Then you certainly create another set with all your " mouse-over" image… what will show if your mouse is within the button. While you get your CSS part done, the mouse-over may swap the impression. Implementing Javascripting or natural CSS… not sure how you should do that. In any event, your whole photoshop page should be broken down into separate images that obtain placed (positioned) upon the page. Just about all done as part of your XHTML/CSS coding. Thanks a great deal for the assistance. I will try and work that away. Chris K.

Newbie asks: ‘div’ tags not ‘containing’ their content properly

Greetings, my problem is when a different ‘div’ tag shunts a pre-existing one further listed below, only the outdated div’s content goes – the div itself stays from the same place. This is a picture of an illustration: http: //i303. photobucket. com/albums/nn134/mr-skill/Picture22. png The chief box with the actual semi-opaque black background can be a div called ‘gallery’. I’ve truly inserted a navbar over this in it truly is own div, visible dimly behind the top part of ‘gallery’. The navbar has shunted the particular content of ‘gallery’ (6 photographs with captions) downwards, whilst ‘gallery’ alone has stayed set up. How do you ensure that a div + its content will conduct themselves ‘as one’ Support much appreciated, thank you. PHP: <! Putting information on a map

I’ve a map of the vacation rental house. You can perspective it at http: //www. waikoloavacationrentals. com/kolea-rentals/kolea-map/kolea-map. jpg I’d like to see to put volumes over each setting up and link them to the property that is due to the building. All I’ve is paint in addition to office picture boss. Can I let that happen with either of the people Thanks, Keep the original image inside a safe place. Subsequently, use MS Coloring to open it. Not sure of your abilities with Paint, however , you can widen the right side so there is a blank white portion to enter amounts. Then highlight as well as drag them more than your photo. (the system where it tends to make the white foundation transparent). Save your image as any PNG type photograph because JPEG loses quality each and every time you save the item. Most MS Coloring versions don’t make it possible for you to change the standard to 100% (default is definitely 75% quality). And so use PNG variety instead. Then post a person’s new image again so I could see it. I could make an HTML PAGE image map permitting those numbers to become links. I’ve numbers on … Continue reading
