For other phones for example the T68i T68 and many others. The images is often downloaded via wap. Im not 100% exactly what format we used for that. .htaccess changing .html to .php

Merely wondering if it’s htacces(I’m like guessing) that allows to perform the same idea that this forum uses to change thread4342. html to obviously like showthread. phppage=4342 and so forth… how would I begin doing this Here I use a custom-written. htaccess archive that uses mod_rewrite. mod_rewrite calls for URLs and, assigned regular expressions, converts them to figureout in other platforms. It is not with the weak of heart and soul, especially if that you do not know regular expressions. Dang =/ I was hoping there’d be a less arduous way.. I’ve always snuck underneath the line when it comes to regular expressions.. editing other peoples’ work and melding it in mine. To me it will as well possibly be 21315413lsaf; lkjfdsa =/ Bless you anyway. Well as an example here, showthread. php is in the syntax: showthread. phps=sessionhash& threadid=threadid So the regexp to convert it will be: showthread. php\s=(a-f0-9*)& threadid=(0-9+) to thread$2. html … There’s no doubt that. The first regexp matches any hex string (or an empty string), and the second matches a variety with a minumum of one digit. It then maps the other match to the appropriate position in additional string. However confusing It took me … Continue reading

WDF: dynamic to static?

Hello all – I’ve noticed that some WDF threads are arriving in Google with all the following format: online world. webdesignforums. net/threadid4331session. code I would like to ask (if I may) how this has become achieved – ie, may be the actual vB coding modified due to this, or (more likely) are these claims from using mod_rewrite about the actual server to be able to modify the URLs If you do, is there anywhere I can find more details on performing this My forums are instead being well indexed, but dynamic pages as static pages appears to help you more with participating backlinks – which serves as a particular selling point for smaller forums attempting to attract newer customers. Is this something that could be discussed here . htaccess applying mod_rewrite. There are wide ranging hacks I learn for invisionboard, and I’d imagine there is some for vB to be able to. It’s a genuinely simple thing really… Unfortunately, not really for myself… I was simply curious concerning using something related on my vB THREE. Would anyone be considering discussing more about how precisely it was performed for WDF Or can i leave the situation alone – specifically in public … Continue reading

XP SP2 and the Drop-Down

Features anyone noticed this there’s this bothersome message that slides down with the top of the IE page written content window now whenever you go to an affiliate site with drop straight down menus running XP with Service Group 2 All my templates, all the plus the drop-downs are today screwed. Of course, you can always go into the options along with change the configurations, but in my personal mind, if I’m designing for that web, and SP2 will be causing this communication to popup for almost any drop-down menu, I need to rule out even while using the drop-downs because the actual XP SP2 user base grows everyday and I don’t need to rely on the common non-tech savvy user being forced to go into those options to allow for this stuff that will drop down and it is just a sort of harassment. Fine Lord, has SP2 essentially ruled out your drop-down menu and also does anyone know of drop-downs which can be SP2 compliant Have any URLs for us to see I have SP2 about my laptop hence I haven’t used it a lot of, but I haven’t experienced concern yet (although I did just recently upgrade).

‘Friendly ‘URLs In Private Areas?

Is the whole point of experiencing ‘friendly’ URLs (i. electronic tekponline. com/archives/2005/09/21 as an alternative to tekponline. com/arcives/y=2005& m=09& d=21) them to appear nicer for the eye, easier to understand and can always be read better by search engines If that’s the case, is it necessary to have most of these URLs in current administration sections, i. electronic. tekponline. com/admin/new/journal as an alternative to tekponline. com/admin/page=new& type=journalentry If nobody will probably see the sections but me, and I hope nobody will probably search for the item, then what’s that point in owning these URLs There’s no point. It’s only to make public facing pages easier to locate for humans and engines like google alike. Thanks – just wanted to clear it upwards.

Weird bot hits on a website

Over a website I realize (call it site. com), over SIX HUNDRED hits were signed up with some seriously weird details: The many hits came were done while using the GET method, however the requested URLs were being all full URLs directed to subdomains regarding Yahoo. com. Good examples are: http: //login. tpe. aol. com http: //login. bjs. aol. com http: //login. korea. aol. com Once more, those were the particular GET REQUEST_URI values – which is, the bot was requesting a TRAFFIC from another website, not from website. com. These were not HTTP referrer ideals. The many hits came via same remote coordinator, a subdomain identify from charter. com. It could be a hacking attempt (this is in fact a deliberate request for any clearly wrong page), but I am not 100% convinced of your theory. This can be baffling me, as We have never seen such behavior. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks! PM me personally which sub-domain. helpful to work for any spin-off of hire (and charter instantly at one point), I recall a few of their stuff nonetheless, and if wanted, I think I remember several of their email addresses. Appears like a zombie LAPTOP.

Sub-domains

We’ve never learned the way web masters utilize sub domains. I have always just applied domain masking in order to hide my particular urls. This, then again, leaves me with all the appearance of one url for many my sites’ web pages. Can someone explain slightly about how sandwich domains are applied I haven’t your clue, having arrived on the internet about 98′-99′ I probably missed the explanation. I might not be the best human being to explain here, but I can give it a wack. Sub-domains permit you to create a url (without requiring you to register it) that could point to a directory. An example of its utilize… say you have got forums at your web blog. Wrather that normal http: //www. yoursite. com/forums/, you may set a sub-domain to point for the forums directory as well as change the above to http: //forums. yoursite. com It sometimes causes it to be easier to provide url’s to people if you possibly could simplify them as a result of sub-domains. Did MY PARTNER AND I make any perception Sub domains do not permit you to hide your serves urls. They possess a different purpose. Make use of sub domains, … Continue reading

.htaccess – excluded directory, but now forum ‘fails to open stream’

I currently possess a. htaccess file that says this particular: But Concerning recently started this forum up once more. Is there any approach to use this principle but not within the /forums directory Thanks a bundle Maybe incorporate this fact inside the regex Maybe down the lines of " forums" inside the regex Just thinking out loud… Could you show me how you can do that along with an example I am just totally treading with eggshells with. htaccess. Thanks Ok I’ve got this particular code now: Code: RewriteEngine at RewriteRule! (/forums/. *$\. (gifcssjpgpngjsasfaviwmvswfxsljarinc. php))$ /includes/request. inc. php But now the forum states this: I changed the directory for the Journal directory (the a bed that needs the RewriteRule to work) and it also didn’t do something, i. e. the URLs ended up still rewritten but not excluded as collectively have been. Am I carrying out something wrong Managed to get the code coming from here (Fixed that now, thanks pertaining to help ).

search engines indexing my hosting urls

Now i am very new at search engine optimization and have observed that msn search is taking a my site and not the domain name it can be forwarded to. iow, it picks up the hosting url such as this: www. warlike. ms11. net I’d prefer my domain appoint – www. warlikeway. com – to be indexed instead. At this time I’m coming on page three of msn serp’s for " socom A FEW review" so maybe MY PARTNER AND I shouldn’t mess with it What does any individual think If you ever go to your site, " www. warlikeway. com" plus watch it place, look at the actual status bar on underneath of your cell phone (IE). You view it loading " www. warlike. ms11. net". You will are causing this specific to happen oneself. Buy frames with this kind of reference: < mode src=" http: //www. warlike. ms11. net" frameborder=" 0" > Consequently, the search machines are doing what they are meant to do. There are so many reasons about using < frames> or even not using < frames>… in my opinion, you should never use < frames>. You should not confuse this by using inline frames < … Continue reading
