Online Edit Of HTML Pages
Hello Guys, I was wondering if anyone had some ideas of how the below can be accomplished, easily. I have a smallish portal built with HTML used for a lot of internal things and I am looking for a simple way to edit it via the internet so other can simply edit the same page with out FTP access and having to manually edit the particular page via a strong html editor. So anyone know of a simple way to edit the actual page online I doubt it is usually done without utilizing a DB, but I are looking at a simple way to directly change the html file via a web html editor than I’ll build into the page itself. Bless you! You’d edit it via a portal installed through your host. yes. you will want serverside scripting for example php. i am creating a page manager this week to raise the rest with my customer cms products and solutions to package along with designs. Bless you, but that truly doesn’t help by any means. I am looking for something to value in, not a solar panel I need to raise the servers. I was afraid of which, thanks. … Continue reading

CSS or Tables
Do you find it best to: Design a website so it is completely table-less OR…… Design a website where you work with tables for layout and CSS regarding presentation Continually #1 without exemption, although keep in your mind tables are the precise thing to use when representing tabular information. Use < div> rather than table and CSS with regard to presentation setting up Div for system and CSS with regard to presentation… Meh, you are doing know that they’re saying that tables should by no means be used (even intended for tabular data)… instead you’re designed to use < dt> < dd> tags.. I haven’t completely grasped/accepted that idea truthfully speaking but I do know from my a lot more recent research that tables = awful. Nonsense. In case you have data that is actually naturally represented implementing column headers and also rows, it’s any table by distinction. dl/dd/dt is just for lists of meanings. The entire point of semantic markup could be to use the label that describes the images, and a table is okay at describing a new table. Googling XHTML Validation and Tables…. I obtained enough links to choke a mule along with… But this guy seems … Continue reading

We have dabbled in HTML previously and I’ve played with a good number of content management systems for example wordpress, joomla, e107, including a few more. I’d prefer to step up my web page design skills and stop determined by CMS for every one of my sites. What I’d love to build is a site a lot like this one. http: //www. thefatlute. com I think a niche site like this would be great practice, pretty simple design in addition to incorporates a data source. Can anyone tell me the most effective way to start something like this Actually if any person could help us out with making a basic database along with being able to raise it and question it using the html or php page I believe I could figure the rest out with sample and error. Looks like some sort of ASP scripting… some sort of CMS of several kind. Consequently, their site is actually ASP. net scripting probably with a Windows Server. To build something like that from scratch would have been a tremendous project. Google has a pile of tutorials for MySQL as well as PHP together. Good luck… you’ll be hectic for months. Is … Continue reading

Scrapbook Image Gallery
Hello, My organization is building a website for any writing center in the university and they might like a awesome scrapbook image gallery. The basic idea could be to have it appear to be a scrapbook connected with memories from the many students and if you rollover and image or select it, it would pop-up. I’m confused exactly how to go about achieving this specific, does anyone have any ideas There isn’t a rush and it’s not at all a big problem if it can’t be done, they just thought ?t had been a decent concept. I thought I could truthfully design the scrapbooking in photoshop, the situation I then include is then making use of it into code and keeping the images pop in place. Or I would use Flash, I’m just confused what tactic could be best and the way to go about making it. Any ideas or maybe similar examples is greatly appreciated. Have a look at using LightBox. http: //www. huddletogether. com/projects/lightbox2/.

Converting .mov to .flv, server side?
Hello there, I’m working for your client who would choose to add the flexibility to upload videos for their website through that CMS we designed them. The clips will probably be uploaded as. mov files after which you can I need in order to convert them to help. flv during the particular upload process. Trouble is I don’t know how to do this and the additional I look in to it the more this reveals we’re not going every single child do it. I’ve found various packages which will do it, but I do not think I can work with them with our shared hosting balances. I think this would be perfect, but I are deprived of the rights to setup it – http: //www. sothinkmedia. com/flash-vi… x/download. htm. So being honnest I’ve kinda arrive at the conclusion that it is not going to always be possible. But wanting to know if anyone features any ideas It is really quite possible. I’ve written software twice that really does it completely server-side (*nix). Basically, use some creatively-constructed command-line quarrels to ffmpeg: http: //www. ffmpeg. org/. I’d probably violate a strong NDA or some thing with more details though the gist of … Continue reading

Dreamweaver crucial probably using it, is a WYSIWYG interface, so you cut and paste layouts and things in it, and it produces the code for you. Again, nothing really incorrect with that, but learning for making a web web site on this online community (using Dreamweaver), isn’t likely to be easy. Suppliers… You must determine if the actual font you picked is necessary to your style. On … Continue reading
