Jakob Nielsen killed TemplateMonster??!!??!!
I have just visited www. TemplateMonster. com. I was surprised to discover a totally new style and design there. Through the ICQ discussion with a number my friends: too patriotic (pro-American), quickly loading, impact about usability. As for me it appearance nice; more business enterprise and, get much about usability indeed; I’d an impression of which it’s Jakob Nielsen putted towards practice!!! On the other side it is… I need ideas of… More dull Dried out and too business Or it could be it’s just my own nostalgia about older TM (one of my favorite sites around the net). Will it be worth to drop on design for any sake of usability I need ideas of really… But anyway it’s worth investigating! Looks such as 1000 other business sites now. I don’t see the way it’s " American" wanting. That’s definitely certainly not USA blue, along with the USA is never the only RW& B country on this planet. Anyhow, I liked that old look. It was more unique also it gave an idea of how many templates you’d discover there. PS – POST don’t see how the tab style switch has increased usability. When I recall, the old layout … Continue reading

Complete Page on Photoshop?
I’ve just been told by the pal that many pro designers will design a complete page on Photoshop, and then just past inside the image. Is this correct If you have, how can anyone add hyperlinks/rollovers etc to a part of an image Simply " pasting within the image" isn’t the way to build a webpage. Most people produce the interface with the website in Illustrator (all the artwork: banner, buttons, icons, etc), and in that case slice the layout and lay the actual pieces out utilizing HTML, usually implementing an HTML publisher.

Website design jobs?
Hello everyone You guys can tell me if this is a good idea or definitely not. I have not too long ago started an non-connected website design enterprise, Its been really hard getting customers to remain seated. Most say they may be interested, but then find a way to disappear off the face on the earth. The idea that Im young, and have no proffesional qualifications is likewise part of the reason. Ive also noticed that there are people around the age 16/17 who are able to design websites/code php and so are very talented at goal, but wont have the capacity to get a employment or be taken seriously because they have no proffesional qualifications. I was considering that maybe consumers could pool almost all their resources together, ie get flash developers, coders and layouts designers together to make a new international website development company, made up of adolescents. I dont think inexperience is usually a big disadvantage when your in a rapidly changing environment like the internet. So what don’t you guys think Would you intend to be part associated with it I tried the same thing and had the same problem. I’m now at University doing a … Continue reading

The Zen of CSS Design : Visual Enlightenment for the Web
Has anybody read this specific book Does that really help adding into practise what I’ve learnt from " HTML Utopia Desining with no tables using CSS" I’ve picked up the basics, and today I need help with how to really put everything into practice by designing the complete website in CSS having graphics etc. WE haven’t read that book, but I’ve viewed it a tad (just didn’t would like to drop that much money on them then, so I got an XML book). I are not aware of how well it puts the ideas into practice however. Eric Meyer’s books appear to put CSS to practical and graphical apply though. You may choose to check into those people. I ‘m reading it. Not finished yet but a long way I believe that it is good. We have a lot of design talk in there and they also cover bits connected with design theory, processes and gubbins that adheres to that, which i really like. So if the into that almost thing and want to know a lot of the designers thoughts in addition to decisions that went in designs you will like it too. Wish this helps. With thanks. I … Continue reading
