we have been disabling right select iframe links by using javascript but i would really like to check intended for parent and fill it if it is not present. any strategies. this is with regard to my site online world. studio378d. com. for the time being i have eliminated the javascript that disables the correct click, im trying to eliminate any javascript mind you. I do not understand what " pay attention to parent" means. By way of disabling right-click, precisely what purpose was that for I don’t notice any images i can’t already copy. lol not any im not protecting anything. if you appropriate click and find open in new window you have just the contents in the iframe without the parent page that has th iframe. thus far we’ve used javascript to disable right click on but thats certainly not exactly cool. i was wondering if there was another way to check for the parent page if your iframe content loads and gives a message as opposed to the contents if the parent is possibly not present. yes i could truthfully use a dynamic div however the effect in several minor areas seriously isn’t desireable, like refreshing parents … Continue reading

Is there a way to make this design into a fluid layout?

http: //twitpic. com/mgf5m There’s an online design I’m implementing, it’s just this bare bones currently. At the instant, the width belonging to the content area is over 1000px (I know it’s actually a bit too big) and rather than scale it down too much, I’d prefer to produce a fluid system (e. g. thickness: 80%; ), but I’m simply just wondering if there’s any way of doing that Currently, it’s a horizontal image that is certainly repeated vertically, having a seperate image for the top and bottom from the white section. Bless you. Oh, and hi. Now i am new here You have to have a fluid column on your own design. For example your content you intend to be fluid. You have to add from css to get background 3 photos: left and suitable fixed, and the fluid image. You have to set for div subject material width in percent and then for right column (for example) resolve width – around pixels. Thats some sort of basic explanation. You have to work if you prefer a fluid layout – isnt exist a softare which transform automatically a permanent layout to h2o. It’s much less difficult to deal w/ the … Continue reading

adapting an existing site for mobile devices

Howdy, everyone. Not long ago i had a clientele call me to inform me he had tried to take over my site at his Blackberry in addition to had found this, while it rendered perfectly, exactly precisely as it did in the browser on the home PC, it was so tiny he couldn’t read it. Pondered thought I’d have time to study easy methods to design for mobile devices before the desire became so apparent – but unsurprisingly the clock is definitely ticking faster when compared with I thought. We have been trying that will educate myself at the W3Schools but all I will be able to find there exists ASP. NET server-side stuff which is, frankly, a little above my head. I remember examining somewhere (can’t find it ever since I need it, of course) Who’s was possible to write a certain CSS for mobiles, that they would read and use rather then the regular CSS. Is niagra an avenue MY PARTNER AND I should pursue Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, There’s no particular language for mobile devices, it’s merely the structure in the site itself. Ususally any fluid-width vertical content material layout. Though determing internet … Continue reading

Putting a scroll bar WITHIN the site

Is there an easy way of putting some sort of scroll bar inside a section of your site to enable you to have 2 copy: still left column = fixed length image right column = scroll bar to let for text being longer versus the image Employing CSS, define the dimensions of one’s < div> locations, and use: flood: auto; That will instantly display a scroll icon if it want to really standout one. I really recommend you find methods to display your content without scrollbar(s), but I realize in most cases, that’s not likely. Any time anyone add navigation that will makes people perform harder (like scrollbars), you will discover that users wouldn’t use them… they’ll most probably just leave your page. I know this could sound condescending, nonetheless assume every person is lazy. Design your web page so users need not think about whatever. Scrollbars require thinking and skill. Many thanks mlseim – WHEN I hadn’t realised it turned out that easy. Essentially, I probably consider your comments about scroll bars – specifically for long pages. Nonetheless, I’m about to complete a site the location where the customer wants to get minimal info plus a very clean layout … Continue reading

How to add these images aligned to text?

The following is a mockup of what I would like to achieve: The navigation now has the arrows on the left of the text, without the particular dividing line involving rows. I’d like the arrows being in the exact (far right) situation on each row – can there be a CSS method to achieve this This navigation piece is written in ASP. NET. I need to see the web page (how it truly is now)… give us a link to it. you possibly can always use an arrangement width for the element and a strong < li> class with a great arrow backround image aligned for the right then set each and possess a dotted edge under it spokanewebguy is usually right. This is how you’d handle it. Code: ul#whatever-you-called-that-menu li track record: URL(your-arrow-file-here. gif) center right no-repeat; coloration: inherit; /* possibly not necessary, but it preserves you from finding a warning when an individual validate your CSS */ Alternatively, you could potentially just include the arrows and your link text together long graphic and use Javascript and/or CSS for just about any mouseovers. You have got different ways to play with this. It just is determined by what you … Continue reading
