Website not displaying correctly in IE

The classmates and I are setting up a website for training. Here is that link: http: //andibair. com. istemp. com/benchFitness/html/index. html The site exhibits perfectly in Mozilla firefox although in IE this tables are messed ” up ” as you might be able to see. Anybody have any advice for us as to what we can do to create it work intended for both browsers. Any ideas for the coding Krystle Avoid using a table with regard to non-tabular data. Types of class is this where it really is ok to utilize a table But MY SPOUSE AND I don’t see virtually any difference between Firefox 3, IE6, and IE7. It is a web design school 1) Many of us don’t do homework or student assigments. 2) Avoid using < table>… make use of CSS and < div> pertaining to layouts. 3) In case your " web design class" teacher is having buy < table> vertisements for layouts, tell your teacher to show you about CSS in addition to non-table layouts.

I’m working on a screen that may be apparently 1400px wide (don’t knowledge mine is a lot larger than usual given that I am just on my older laptop that’s over 4 years of age and wasn’t anything special while i bought it). I’m using Firefox THREE. 0. 8. Here’s among what’s confusing me… look at the site – diyhomesavvy. com – then at recipegirl. com. We’re both using fixed width layouts and firebug affirms her’s is 984px wide and mine’s 980px wide but when i compare the two using the same browser around the same screen her’s looks in excess of 4px wider compared to mine. Quarry has about COUPLE OF. 5 – 3" on either side on the wrapper and recipegirl solely has about ONE PARTICULAR. 5 – ONE. 75" on also side. Can anyone you should explain what’s taking place , with this You should help Looks pretty close to the exact same width on FF A COUPLE OF. 0. 0. 20 Perhaps it’d serve you to apply a … Continue reading

IE5 Help

I’m currently developing an online site for a Student Accommodation. It’s perfect upon all browsers aside from IE5 and it has to be perfect on IE5 for your customer cos jane is using the IE5 Web browser. I have seemed up on tips and hints and as far as I’m sure already and have been confirmed from exploring around, Stylesheets aren’t compatible with IE5 so what on earth should I will i am completely lost, please help me personally. K-Webs It’s hard enough addressing IE6-IE7, and IE5 is actually worse. Merely were in your current shoes, I would simply ensure it is XHTML/CSS validated, designed for FireFox and adjustments created for IE6 and preceding. I would not really care that she is a customer in this article. She should not use IE5, and in the event you go through the many hours to make that right, just with regard to her, who’s to express her computer isn’t going to die and she then gets a different computer at IE7 or IE8 There comes your point where a web designer/developer has to be in charge of particular things, and this is one of these people… even at this point of shedding … Continue reading

FF and IE site differences

WE hate how a website looks different within FireFox and Web Explorer. Mainly my site. I have a new horizontal rule end of it of my page that we want to off white. It’s grey throughout FF but once i look at my own site in IE the idea turns green. Then my contact mode. Both text fields I’ve in it are yellow when using the auto-complete thing intended for FF, but in IE these are grey like I’d like to see them to always be. Is there a way to keep my horizontal rule grey in IE And is there a way I could turn off FF’s auto-complete pertaining to forms The site is http: //deadlygamingstudios. vlexo. online A better route to make a horizontal line is always to use CSS considering < hr> have been deprecated. Add this for your style sheet: . human resources border: 2px good #eee; width: 50% Subsequently ditch the < hr> tier and add this kind of: < p class=" hr" > < /p> Thanks, USC.

So I got all jazzed cuz WHEN I finally finished Most of the site. I tried it in Firefox and also Safari on my own computer and almost everything looked great. Then I proceeded my g/f’s macbook pro and looked at it in your girlfriend Safari (a handful of versions newer as compared with mine) her Firefox(also a couple of versions newer) Group and IE… My fonts look nothing can beat they’re supposed for you to. So when you look at this site and observe generic looking fonts understand thats not just what exactly I see at my browser as well as what I intended for them to mimic. All you handcoders to choose from, is there the right way to make the fonts MY PARTNER AND I see on my personal comp be reliable w/ all other browsers Or was I gonna must make little buttons in photoshop and replace all my current links This is my site: online world. mandrakestudios. com What font would it be I use Eurostile for all the links, Edwardian Script for that dirty glam name sections, and Copperplate for that " Mandrake Studios" logo along at the top. Add this for the bottom of your website: Code: < div> < p align=" center" > < strong> For anyone who is still using at any time popular standards DEFIANT web browser that is commonly known as Internet Explorer, can yourself a favour and < your href=http: //www. getfirefox. com/" > HAVE FIREFOX< /a>. < /strong> < /p> < /div> The message there has to be, IE is a new " standards defiant" internet browser.. Fix something as browser and it breaks in all other browsers… If it works every one other browsers it’s going to most likely become broken in IE… Thus, Get Firefox or any other standards compliant web browser but for heaven’s sakes, do away with IE. Have enough people to switch, and IE gets standards complaint seriously fast. However there exists a CSS fix it is possible to usually do… and it’s also css code dirrected limited … Continue reading
