Menubars…
What’s the simplest way of creating your vertical menubar without the need for frames. I would like to creat something like this: http: //www. corefm. net that when i edit the menubar, it links with all pages. you should use Server Side Comprises of (SSI) or php involves Ok many thanks, is there any function on dreamweaver that should let me create it and not having to use code : because that looks not possible. All I know is quite basic html. If the server lets get PHP, then all you’ve got to do is usually make an HTML file with your menu, and then call it with all the include function.. So here is your index. php: Code: < html> < head> < title> Title< /title< /head> < body> … header content… < include(" sidebar. html" ) > … content of site… < /body> < /html> Hope this pays to you.. It barely pays to me while I described them. If your gonna use PHP, which is very easy, be sure to save the page your such as the header on because. php like catalog. php good then… time you start learning more in which basic html ssi in … Continue reading →

Navigation Bar Help….
Hi I’m designing a new web site at this time, havent designed one frequent but the going theme with my own old ones was crap navigation night clubs. I basically want one who looks and behaves in this way Is the fact that PHP or a number of Java or a little something, I don’t know much this, i do learn my server supports almost everything though, Any help would be greatly appreciated… Many thanks! I cant seem to access the website link…. Have you seen javascript menus Have a look at http: //www. dynamicdrive. com/ They might have got a few menu structures that you may like…. Remorseful the page can be http: //www. filmmaking. net/ That would have to be javascript. A great way to find out that like thing is to measure the source program code. I found that line in theirs: < script src=" /includes/mmenu. js" type=" text/javascript" language=" JavaScript" >. From that it truly is pretty obvious to express to that the menu is js certainly… and you can achive similar thing with css (and a small bit of js) http: //www. alistapart. com/articles/dropdowns/ or http: //www. alistapart. com/articles/horizdropdowns/ I am an idiot, I obtained … Continue reading →

Newbie having a mare with forms
I have been building a site for my spouse, and on an entire have figured stuff out as I’ve gon along, as yet that is. She wants a questionnaire. As I realize it I want to do two things: A SINGLE. Build the variety as normal (I was using Dreamweaver) puting in certain code that when the button is clicked the item sends the for on the ISP. 3. Upload some extra code towards the CGI-Bin at the particular ISP that shows the server what direction to go with the kind data and in which to send the idea. Are I right and so far The form I have created requires the usual material, Name email address etc. However I have got two drop affordable menus asking the consumer to select a precise option. Is the addition belonging to the drop down selections complicating matters if so just how do i deal with them. Sorry if this appears slightly vague but I will be not sure where I’m suppose to be going with this. Just about any thoughts greatfully been given. Nagger When you say a form on earth do you mean a contact sort of some sort Where by … Continue reading →

Need advise.
Howdy, am a first-time. am trying to style a website together with DW. the website should have the logo for the top of that page, the menus to the left handside and some graphics on the right handside. I’d want to keep the logo the only real still area from the site (therefore no realoading needs to be involved when working the menus) and the other two areas should load various menus and artwork. Is this any case of framesheets Might you please help me to get a relevant article any suggestion could be very appreciated. Thanks earlier. Davide When would you like to load all the menus and graphics Feel free to use frames for including other html files as part of your page, although a lot of people hate frames. Or you should use a server aspect solution, like asp/php/cfm/jsp. Remorseful I dont truly understand your search If the photograph is loaded once it are not reloaded again in the following pages the way it will already be within the browser’s cache. So there really is you should not try and do what you’re up to (if I determine what that is) if you don’t are working that … Continue reading →

Question on scanning documents
I have a few documents which i want to place on my website without having to retype and reformat the actual docs. Some are usually brochures, menus and contracts. Is there the easiest way that I could scan the brochure and display the image rather then redoing the complete brochure on my site I feel this will aloow me and keep the appealing design in addition.. Any suggestions on how to achieve this is greatly appreciated. Thanks: cheeky: Without a doubt, if you search within it in being a image you can easily just display the particular image.

front end vs. back end vs. limited time
Good day everyone, If time is usually an issue with web site design, whats the best approach to start and also complete a project after getting your resources plus background information available to use. Should a solo designer start taking the front end (creating the look of the website) or even should that person first deal with making several layout templates that may work with any kind of design that the individual dreams up In addition, suppose that you need to do the front end first however , you find it progressively more difficult to translate the IT design in to a workable HTML formatting. What are some ways of work around that problem For those who have a superb expertise in table design CSS Speaking from particular experience I once spent a lot of time researching the " look" of a website without watching how it would format on the net. And since you merely have so very much freedom with HTML CODE, I was dissapointed this my vision didn’t look similar once it seemed to be coded. In fact it looked uglier. Entrance end: Creating the visual design and images that continue a website, by simply editing images … Continue reading →

Re-doing my site
my personal current site reaches www. alligatorice. com along with the temporary link is usually http: //nathan. alligatorice. com/sitetest. I recognize the current variation (alligatorice. com) is extremely much a bandwith hog, and I be aware that it is required to be something different. I was thinking of creating more an information-based site, with an information input section after which it when the details is submitted, some sort of visitor can down load a " kit" with visual materials like the ones on the website now. The site is going to function as a new sales medium. I’m wanting to know how I should re-design the positioning to perform their function, but still appearance professional and fit the entire " feel" which our company has along with our printed supplies. I know by today, the layering, your top/side artwork, along with the dynamic html menu all are messed up on various browsers. It works fine personally, but that would not mean it works for a lot of others. Thanks ahead for your source. (Moderators, you may delete my post from the " How’s Our Site" section. This is the correct section to become posting this inside. ) Eliminate all Dynamic … Continue reading →

So how do you build your sites? What is your organization style/workflow/process?
Seeing that I handed down a former web project of mine into a co-worker, she noted the best way differently she sorted out her site/files along with how it took her longer just to get accustomed to how my stuff was create. So this is just a general question away from curiosity. I’m wondering how we all build ones websites — just what your general progression is, how everyone organize your data, etc. Me I always start in Photoshop that has a blank 1024×768 theme. I literally develop everything in Photoshop how I’d expect to see it on the web — background image/texture, a 750px box (for primary content) or other structure, and photographs. I populate subject matter areas with phony text (Verdana or maybe whatever font, no anti-alias, so it looks like it would in the browser), and use the text tool to set-up my headers, or anything else. I even place such things as fake iframes in the event used (take your screenshot of my own desktop and paste the scrollbar through my browser) and everything else that you’d see inside the live site. Once I’ve my mockup executed, I am qualified to save off your full-size JPG … Continue reading →

dropdown menu done but don’t know how to…
fine so after trying to learn how to do i for ages i finally built a menu in fireworks we liked the only thing is actually when i make an effort to export it i can’t have it like it is in the preview in frontpage and up importantly what i use bluevoda. i have tried to export it every one the ways feasible but just find it hard to get them right on our web editor allow me to get just the image surface, or even the image after which you can underneath a long line of links but they’re RAW i think thats the correct word, they mimic boring normal hyperlinks and in addition they aren’t dropdown definitely. please help someone tips on how to get your menus to do business with web editors other than dreamweaver which currently i’m trying to lear nonetheless i can’t export it from in which either. I have a large amount of it may have something related to the javascript record as i can’t note that being imported but that is certainly how it operates in dreamweaver. Sorry its as long i tried that will explain it the best i could bless … Continue reading →

Need to add a DHTML menu!!!
Hy you want to change this boring look about my site structure. I have downloadable a DHTML software program but dont know where to position the code. http: //www. articlesnews. org Where’s your software Plus on that note, I don’t suggest you to use heavy DHTML software program for menus. If you prefer a pop-up menu, the process under way create with CSS (and so are a wide range of imaginable kind of menu) alongside with simple JS. I accept Steax. The DHTML menu will give search engines a difficult time in indexing your internet site. All the central links are embedded while in the javascript which can’t be accessed by search results spiders. Google " css menu", and you will find plenty of good examples of CSS-based choices. They are convenient to use and make your blog friendly to google.
