Greenock Hockey Club
The site for the local hockey team that we play for: Greenock Hockey Club I’ve only completed the principle page and this news archive (which I’m really excited about All that ingenious PHP). I just would like your general impressions on the design to see if you like the way Now i’m going. The colour scheme is dependant on the club’s home strip. You can check out the menu at the same time. All of the actual links work, only no content is usually displayed. Certainly, I know you will find there’s spelling mistake. This will likely be corrected upcoming time I include. The internet site has no ‘real’ images. I feel you’ll want to upgrade the screaming. At the moment may be a plain text image, which is damaging a vision-impaired visitor to your site, but if you might be to have that plain text, then you’ll want to convert it in order to text. You have a nice navigation process, remember to add some same navigation upon each page inside the same place. In addition to that, the design and style is very plain. I believe some more eye-candy is required to create an effect on the user, … Continue reading
Slicing & Searchability
I am trying to reprogram a website without knowing much about programming. My first big hurdle was turning a niche site designed in illustrator into the proper website, which I did by slicing inside fireworks, but then came the challenge of searchability. Because the text was a great gif image it turned out n’t searchable. What I finished up doing was obtaining the image in addition to inserting text in dreamweaver. Since the text is now in the physique, is this searchable And in addition, there is a great deal of white space while in the site, which as a consequence of my settings plus slicing made all of them into blank white gif images. Does this effect coursesmart negatively Does it take more time to load If and also, do I just simply delete the images and will that have just about any possible negative effect Thanks so much in advance. oh yea, the site can be www. newjerseyhairtransplants. com You did good if you take text right out the images and only typing it in. It will become searchable. Short answer – yes it will eventually take more occasion to load. Employing single color. gif’s though shouldn’t allow … Continue reading

Mail Form Input Type = Fax?
My organization is about revamp an online site for a client which includes a simple mail resolution form and WHEN I also intend hosting coursesmart with a several provider. My client states that he’s previously never gotten the content belonging to the mail form by means of e-mail but the fact that results came to him via fax. I thought this was rather strange but investigating the HTML in the mail form page the following line is visible….. < input type=" HIDDEN" name=" TO_FAX" value=" 01506871961" > Obviously one more bit is his / her fax number. I’ve never heard of this facility – so how does it work Will there be some automated process in the current ISP this sends the fax for you to him, or does someone at the ISP simply intercept the actual email form and fax it manually , to my client I am slightly baffled. Not surprisingly, my client includes asked if they can still have this facility following the revamp and moved coursesmart to my chosen host but I would doubt if they might provide this provider. Can someone reveal if they’ve discovered this before you need to That is actually pretty neat. … Continue reading

Looking For Some Answers
Hey there cutie. I have also been messing with code and css for some time now, using some free javascripts ever so often. My site is targeted around my electric guitar stuff and I got incitied to try other forms of languages. Although my internet site doesn’t support PHP and MySQL at the moment, I might move it to some server that I would like, but it should support CGI scripting plus Perl. I don’t know anything about the two (CGI and also Perl) and choose to know more, and actually choose to know about a dib with all the different languages, but My business is a little confused on how you can see what each language typically offer me. For instance, I know that will HTML and CSS utilized to create the specific look of coursesmart and how things are outlined. Javscript I know works extremely well for calendars, but have no idea of of much some other uses. PHP and MySQL I know make great forums and guestbooks as well as user-specified information. I want to use other languages that might be capable to be applied to be able to my site. Let me host some audio streaming … Continue reading

Need Feedback (Web Design as an art)
For one of my tuition, I have that will something is along with art or not an art. My topic MY PARTNER AND I chose is web design. I believe its an art some ways, certain Websites, ect… but seriously isn’t an art around ways either. Consequently, I was considering getting some responses. I want that will here opinions on why it will be concidered and fine art, and/or why the idea wouldn’t be concidered a art. Thanks: typical: In its humble beginnings ?t had been not anything near an art. But today it is. When you feel about how a web page is first fashioned, you see that your large art factor goes in to it. Each of the elements are carefully used in Photoshop or whichever program the designer choses. As using all good art work, there is very careful thought behind what is positioned where and how that will affect the audience. As with just about all good art, a web site site has some sort of visual theme that this audience will translate. The coding of any web site is usually an art in itself being studied and critiqued by others. A coder needs to search … Continue reading

Thanks ferfer ferfer- If you’re familiar with CSS, try setting margins for any body to 0. That should do just as well. -Mike not mean padding: Absolutely no, margins… Code: body margin: 0; Sean I am brand new in this – so I am not sure easily am talking related to cell padding, although I dot think I am. The question is, how could i rely on the corporation after the site design has become completed and I will be getting orders Are usually owner of online hosting company which in turn hosts my site ( which can be the same company which actuyally developed it ) only shuts down my own business and tells me: OK, Matteo, unless you give me US$10000 I’ll not open back your site Do you find it technicall possible or perhaps am I small bit paranoid Following your site is finished, how can MY PARTNER AND I legally claim any kind of right over my personal site Matteo If someone makes a website for you, you must automatically own coursesmart and all copyrights when it’s complete. In case you went into an agreement where you will not own all copyrights, you still have screwed. What are they going to do with the site anyway You must also have all belonging to the files that the site uses stored from a safe location (on the CD … Continue reading
